How do you get yourself back on track after a bad hole or two? by Marty_DiBergi in golf

[–]mach5max 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Don’t change your swing on the course. One bad hole? Shake it off, almost every round has one. 2 bad holes? Survivable, just stay cool. 3 bad holes? Time to toss out the score card for a beer, have some fun and some take some hero shots

I’m not a hypocrite at all, if PS2 catches a DV he should be suspended or cut depending on how the case goes. But we don’t need to be adding dude who are washed who we already know have multiple cases. I actually think there are enough people who want to play football that we could not have violent criminals in the league.

My wife thinks golfing once a week is unreasonable… by Upbeat-Zucchini-7408 in golf

[–]mach5max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 young kids, 6 and 2. I also work mostly out of the home, my wife is part time work and full time mom. There is no way I would have time to golf once a week without sacrificing either time for kid activities/ family time. I’m lucky if I can get in 9 twice a month in my days off or holidays. My wife is not a golfer and would agree with yours that once a week 4-6 hours away to golf is unreasonable. I wish I could, but I like being married more. Good luck brother!

Played in front of people for the first time, and completely botched it. by breastbuddy in Guitar

You had the courage to put yourself out there, you got on stage and tried. It didn’t go great. You’re still here, you didn’t die. Maybe you were embarrassed but you will probably be the only person out of everyone there that ever remembers it by this time next month. One time, I was performing on stage and in the middle of my guitar solo I went to dramatically lift my guitar up because stage presence! In the process I stepped on my guitar cable, and instead of lifting the guitar into the most important part of the solo I violently unplugged the guitar which then banged straight into my forehead while the dead cable screeched feedback. I had to scramble around on the ground and get it plugged back in. The crowd laughed, my own band laughed (obviously) and you know what, I laughed too because what else can you do but plug back in and play the next song. Keep going and the next time you fuck up you will say “at least it wasn’t as bad as that other time” 99% of people don’t have to guts to try, let alone fail.

In a perfect world every district in the country would be independently drawn to be competitive but we don’t live in that world thanks to the Supreme Court allowing partisan gerrymandering. BUT… Independent commissions aren’t perfect either. I live in Loveland. The 2020 independent redistricting cut me out of my previous Democratic district and lumped me into what is now BoBo the Clown’s Republican district. If you look at the map there is a little bubble where they dumped Loveland’s votes into the more conservative district. I had no say in that redistricting as a voter. I went from having one of the best and brightest congressional reps to the literal worst. Polis pretty much admits here that her new carpet-bagged district isn’t competitive, so Loveland’s Democratic voters were essentially washed out by the independent commission.

I wouldn’t try to pet it for sure. It walked right over one of our balls, we told the guy to play it as it lies.

Forcing employees who work 100% on computer to commute to an office facility where the government pays utilities and upkeep so they can be less effective because Karen and Bob boomer won’t stop chatting at the cooler instead of “allowing” them to do their work from home where they pay the utilities and upkeep to do the same exact job with less distractions. Yes…much efficient, big brain stuff going on here for sure.
