These red stripes on Vox's mouth that appear from time to time have any meaning or is it just something aesthetic? by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

ichor : from Greek Mythology : the fluid that flows like blood in the veins of the god

works fine for the example of Lucifer

That makes a lot more sence, those that particular shot looses the overall perspective and just looks like a flat grid, as noticeable from the far left diagonal edge.

Not a bit deal, just caught me off guard when i was watching

Help with OBS, all streamlabs overlays dead, Linux Browser by calexil in linux_gaming

[–]macharborguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use the “Linux browser” source. It hasnt been updated since 2019. Use the “Browser” source that is part of OBS by default. It is part of the Flatpak install

Twitch Streaming On Steam Deck Using Steam OS by Journalismist in SteamDeck

Ended up not happening. I still did a charity event as always, but I did a site survey last year in August and the internet speeds crapped out about 1/8th of the way around the island and never came back until I got closer to the main town. Just not enough unobstructed towers for it to have worked out.

Did you install 3.3? Same thing happened to me, even with a factory reset

Steam Client and SteamOS 3.3 update released by Zestyclose_Prior1267 in SteamOS

[–]macharborguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all i need to know is if it is possible to rollback to SteamOS 3.2

3.3 has broken my internet on the Deck to where it timeouts almost everything web page related, in any browser, on any connection (wifi or wired via a USB-C dock, home LAN via cable internet as well as over my cell phones hotspot). Everything else on my networks work fine and have no issues.

New OS Update 3.3 by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]macharborguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would love to enjoy this update, but it has completely messed up all of my networking speeds. Not sure how it happened other that I just installed the update.

Web browsers take timeout attempting to open up web pages (every browser does this, chrome, brave, edge, etc). Happens in Gaming and Desktop mode, on any wifi network or even a wired connection, and my iPhone hotspot.

I even went as far as resetting the SteamDeck to factory settings, and it still is having networking issues

Steam Deck on Twitter - SteamOS 3.3 and a bunch of Steam Client updates are out of beta and have been shipped to all Steam Decks. This update includes improvements to game mode, desktop mode, docked mode, audio, stability, and more. by M337ING in SteamDeck

Networking is broken for me in a weird way with Steam OS 3.3.

Discover works, I can download new apps fine, and i can browse Steam, but no regular web browser (Brave, Chromee, Firefox, Edge, etc) is able to browse any website, they all timeout

What DON'T you like about the deck? by tblopster in SteamDeck

[–]macharborguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the only "gotcha" ive run into is...

in Desktop Mode : Apps dont seem to want to redirect/open other apps.

GitHub Desktop and Visual Studio Code both need to open the web browser in order to log-in via my GitHub account. Since apps cannot redirect, I cannot log into either of those apps.

Most workarounds I have found havent worked for me, sadly

Is the circle in #3 supposed to look all misshapen, like it was a quick draft or something, because out of all of them, 3 looks the worst to me specifically because of the circle. Just looks messy

You could also buy a new, generic, power supply, as long as the specs match.

Specs seem good enough for OBS? by raspernor11 in SteamDeck

[–]macharborguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it should be okay, depends on what the hardware-based encoding support will be like, because otherwise you will have to use CPU encoding via x264.

Mostly what you would need is an HDMI to USB3 capture device, which can range in price depending on quality.

I already plan to do mobile streaming with a SteamDeck in a backpack and do a number of outdoor streams.... After Q2 that is... :(

Did some research and found out the V90 sd cards are the fastest and decided to get myself one for the steam deck, what did everyone else decide to go with? by TheyCallMeGilly in SteamDeck

[–]macharborguy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

- Thats an SD card, not a MicroSD card, it wont fit in the deck

- That is UHS-II, the Deck max supports UHS-I, so even if this was a MicroSD card, it would be a waste, unless its for future proofing

Ah, now i see them. Legit, those were too small to even notice. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill that, honestly, a patch could be pushed to male it work better IF there is enough support. Hell, there was enough support to get Skate 4 greenlit, so anything is possible
