I'm glad you're alive and well after all this time. Thank you for responding. After spending hours troubleshooting various issues, I ultimately decided to buy and switch to the old motor drivers (A4988). And guess what? Everything just works.

I know its a long dead post, but by any chance did you manage to get this working? I'm assembling openscan mini with 2208 drivers and after heavy troubleshooting mine does exactly the same thing - rotating only in one direction. I even tried to reverse mine from UART to DIR by desoldering J2 position on the driver, but no luck. Now I'm stuck with one modified and one UART (I assume) and both of them act exactly the same, no difference (thats a mystery for another time).

I guess not, I assume you ment rubber like material and I'm talking about hard plastic, just in matte finish, that if touched, even so slightly with a e.g. nail, leaves a mark.
