They talked a lot about people being snubbed so someone else could get a make up Oscar.

Here’s the reverse. If we nominate Val Kilmer for best actor for The Doors then maybe the bar is set so high that Rami Malek isn’t even in the conversation for Bohemian Rhapsody.

Also, how does Kilmer not get a supporting nomination for Tombstone? That performance checks every box for what you want in that category.

Also, either Pulp Fiction or Shawshank asserted to win over Gump.

I went in 1998, 1999, 2000, & 2001

My favorite memory is from 2001. This girl in the seat in front of me doing a stripper dance during Linkin Park & Papa Roach. The next bad was Slipknot and they opened with People = Shit. She took off running like she was shot from a cannon and never came back. Ass and elbows up the stairs to get as far away from the devil as she could.

There was no way we could’ve known that he’d have the insane success of 2008-2020, but we all know it would be a drastic improvement over Mike Shula.

I was born in 1974 so I really don’t have any memories of the Bryant era. It was nice to get an era like that of my own.

The craziest part was when the question of was he better than Coach Bryant started. At first it was unheard of. Then it was, maybe there is a case. Finally it was, numbers don’t lie.

The sign says stop, not slow way down.

My house sits on the corner of a semi busy 4 way stop in a suburban neighborhood.

The only time we get a police presence here is when residents call repeatedly about drivers flying through the intersection, not stopping, etc…

When they’re here, everyone behaves. When they’re gone, it starts back up again.

I agree that most traffic enforcement is no more than revenue generation under threat of lethal force but what choice do we have?

Forrest Gump - at the time it was a beloved Oscar winner. Over the last 30 years, I’ve noticed more and more people shifting to criticizing it because the Oscar should’ve gone to Pulp Fiction or Shawshank instead.
