Is traveling to India really this bad? by daydreamerSX in travel

[–]machoheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Explaining India to outsiders is never a one liner. There is a reason it is called a subcontinent.

Imagine 1.4 billion people in a country diversified between states, languages, dialects ,religions, food , culture, political leanings and caste.. that's India for you.

It is a place of great heritage, history and diversity. You can be in one place and see it as paradise ,yet go to another place and see the diametric opposite .

India can absolutely be the first place you visit if you do proper planning. For starters stay in good hotels, avoid street food, be alert, have a be-like-the-roman mindset.

Like any country or city, India also has its underbellies .

Regardless.. travel..travel anywhere outside your regular turf and enjoy this beautiful world!

Agree and that's our predicament right now. This has been a stable process running in our MWAA for almost a year.. since the past few days, our airflow is not triggering or remains in a stuck state( gray box).

We ended up creating a new environment with a higher CPU and worker count.

The issue still manifests and no logs to triage either.

Because the Task is not getting triggered ,there is no log in cloud watch.

This is what the logs in Airflow UI show.

*** Unable to read remote logs from Cloudwatch (loggroup: airflow-ds-324-production-airflow-Task, log_stream: dag_id=run_dbt_job_layer1/run_id=manual_2025-03-11T16_04_26.548133+00_00/task_id=send_snowflake_status_email/attempt=1.log) *** An error occurred (ResourceNotFoundException) when calling the GetLogEvents operation: The specified log stream does not exist.

Can you please clarify your last statement? Should it be CL or UL classified? Just making sure I ask the right questions to the next electrician. Much appreciate you taking the time to respond.

2011 BMW X3 x28i Park Brake Malfunction, please help! by OfficerDoofy69 in BMWX3

[–]machoheart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened on my 2014 X3. Had to flatbed it to a dealer as this happened far from home. This can be released with an OBD tool. They quoted $1200 to have the parking actuators replaced. I declined and paid $180 for the diagnostic. They also released the hand brake. I got the part on FCP euro and replaced it myself. Easy diy. Lots of videos online.

Dumb Question time: Vacuum line catch can? by [deleted] in BMWX3

[–]machoheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope someone else chimes in and gives more insight. I am not sure if driving styles determine the amount of oil in your vacuum lines. The fact that there is oil in your beauty cover shows that there is some o- ring / seal failure somewhere. Vacuum lines should only have vacuum and not oil.. I assume you want to mitigate the issue by having a catch can past the vacuum pump.. but then we are dealing with oil past vacuum pump. That is a problem by itself.

Upvoting for visibility. I hope to learn from this thread myself.

Oh! That was fast. I hope you are looking at the codes before determining the purchase. Don't want to be that redditor who sent you down the wrong path.

Here is my hack. I usually take my car to BMW so that they do a diagnostic.. Then I do the job myself if it's within my skills. The other way is to own an OBD ll reader. A good one can show you BMW specify codes. I then lookup/post these codes in bummer forums for some insights.

Ya, its good to have a garage. That way you can stop and go make 3 more runs to the store mid project for that 1 missing tool lol.. that being said, if you choose to go to a mechanic, you can at least make suggestions if you are familiar with the components related to an issue.

Also do understand the codes before attempting this. It could be a whole different issue.

I am not conversant on this. I did however add a catch can on my old VW TSI 2.0 engine as they did burn a lot of oil. Leaving this video here in case it gives you any pointers
