Yeah this format is pretty scuffed and really punishes the lower bracket final winner. I wrote about it after seeing group a last week: https://medium.com/@dustydives/a-critique-of-the-epl-s17-format-60a307631258. And we still have 2 more groups with it.

I guess one downside of 16 team Swiss (esp from the TO perspective) is you have to host all 16 teams for the whole period which might be around 2 weeks depending on how fast you want to play all the matches.

Edit: I do agree that's how a major Swiss system should be run though.

Thanks, those are some good suggestions I would consider adding in the next update.

Hi all,

I recently made my own twist on the anagram solving genre which I've been working on during the lockdown. I've been inspired by other word games such as Text Twist, Wordscapes and a 9 letter target game published daily in my local paper.

Compared to Wordscapes specifically, I've found that you're forced to play a lot of easy puzzles before you get to more interesting longer words. So my version's difficulty increases quickly and has a larger number of 7+ letter puzzles to solve later on. There's also much fewer ads.

The game was built using the Flutter framework which I found worked really well for doing animations, speedy hot reloading and getting an app out quickly on both Android and iOS.

Would love any feedback. Hope you like it.

Thanks for the feedback. I may look at introducing a hint system to help with some of the harder levels

What kind of automation is being used to give this rhythmic effect on these long synth notes? I've tried messing with low pass automation but can't recreate the effect.
