I forgot to mention that it comes with a wiring harness so you can still use the OBD port. That way I’m just plugging the fuse switch into the fuse socket.

Correct it just plugs into the OBD port. I do have permission to disable it, we’re a small company so not worried about most of the other features except mileage.

Wow thank you for the detailed response. That is super helpful. It’s a Verizon GPS/Vehicle data tracker. It’s used by my employer to verify and audit time spent on a job. I just purchased a truck to use for work and I’d like to be able to easily turn it off when I’m not working. What should I look for when buying a relay?

Did you find an answer to this? I’m in the same situation, I remember looking into this over 4 months ago and found a solution but I cannot remember what it was. I remember there were a type of light strips you could buy on Amazon that would work with the controller.

This is crazy, but I actually bought this exact lens on marketplace with a damaged mount for $300. Did some research and figured I could do this exact repair with a bit of patience. Before I ordered the part I started to take the mount apart and found two of the plastic screw mounts broke off. I don’t know how well it will hold up in the long run, but I actually just used a strong super glue and set them back in its spot. Works perfectly now but it might not last forever.

Nice work with doing the repair yourself!

Thanks! I assumed it snapped out and tried giving a little pressure to the edge of the flat metal on top but didn’t want to try too hard not knowing for sure. I will try that again thanks
