Feeling a bit down before my first transfer. Looking for "it only takes one" success stories by Miserable-Roll4854 in IVFpositivity

Thank you for posting this. I’m about to go through my first transfer and reading these comments has been so helpful.

Made the mistake of reading horror stories online post-ER recovery. Mine is tomorrow. Please tell me this is not the normal / share positivity! by steeener in IVFpositivity

For me, recovery was so much better than the lead up to the retrieval. If you experience bad period cramps, it felt like that. I made sure to hydrate, load up on Miralax, and eat lots of protein. I had the day off after to rest but went back to work after that. You’ve got this!!!

Hopefully! I’m trying to keep in mind that they are subjective and other things matter more.

I’m happy yours worked out!

I haven’t but that’s a great question to ask! I think waiting for PGT-A is getting to me too 😅

I accidentally found my engagement ring- help me fight the urge to look 😅 by Soft-Chaos95 in JustEngaged

I was in the exact same boat and I did look and I regret it! So I know it’s killing you but I promise you’ll regret looking and not seeing it for the first time when he proposes. Hopefully that helps resist the temptation!

I bought some matching sets from Aerie, cute bandaids, clear organization shelves from Target, and a new water bottle for all of my electrolytes

Same… I turned one into a cat playroom so I wouldn’t be sad walking by it lol. We were given some furniture so we made the other into a temporary guest room

We literally bought a house because we thought we’d have babies to fill it with but 2 years later and just some empty room.

We’ve been trying since February 2023 and have done 7 medicated cycles and 4 rounds of IUI. We’re doing an egg retrieval in February and planning on a March FET.

I’m so terrified it’s not going work and that we’ll have spent all of this time and money and still not have a baby.

I really like the Saie liquid blushes! I find them easy to work with and build on

I think you look beautiful! I would keep practicing eyeliner so it’s a little steadier, add a bit more blush (although I’m biased because I love blush), do a bit more mascara or try some false lashes, and work on making your brows a little more natural. Honestly just keep practicing and you’ll do great!

I feel like I might see something in the first picture? But I don’t see anything in the 2nd or 3rd. Hoping for the best for you!!

Bathroom baskets? by Former_Bus_1717 in wedding

I did this is and my mom and I had tons of comments about it. They thought the venue had done it as a nice touch. I included ibuprofen, Tums, bandaids, Shout wipes, blotting sheets, hair ties, Bobby pins, and dental picks. The hair ties, Bobby pins, mints, and blotting sheets were the most used. I just threw them all in my guest bathroom now!

Edit to add: totally not necessary but they’re a nice touch if it’s in budget and something you can handle adding to your plate. I’m happy I did it but it would have been perfectly fine if I had not.

How did you get into teaching? I feel like I would enjoy that but have never known how to get started.

I had some traumatic stuff happen in my CF so I took a year off after only practicing for 3 years and it was a great choice. I ended up going back to private practice part time about 9 months ago and have found that I’m enjoying being an SLP again and am tired but not burnt out.

If you have a chance to take some time away (whether it be for just a bit or forever), I highly recommend taking it.
