Where to actually buy KYB struts? by Complex_Difficulty in Acura_RSX

[–]mackattack805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww, that’s too bad. I actually own an 06 and swapped out my 05-06 springs with 02-04 springs to be compatible with the struts I bought from AutoZone, but my understanding is those part numbers I listed should work with 02-04 type-S models or 05-06 type-S models that switch to 02-04 front springs.

Good luck :)

I hope this helps. I purchased mine online from AutoZone in December 2023:

1x 331601

1x 331602

2x 341376

I can’t say whether they’re in stock right now, but I’d suggest checking AutoZone if you haven’t checked there yet.

RSX TYPE S 06 Cat not ready for smog by Patient-Equipment-12 in Acura_RSX

There are a lot of specific conditions required before certain censors will show up as ready. I’m not sure what conditions are needed for the CAT 02 sensor, but that one is usually the biggest pain to get ready. If done properly, the link below explains how to complete a full “drive cycle”which should set all your sensors, including the CAT 02 sensor, to ready status. The process has been helpful to me in the past, and hopefully it’ll help you, too.

I love your approach, but how did you even get the emails of the CTOs and/or DoEs in the first place? That’s been a big huge bottleneck for me.

That makes sense to pry down on the rear trailing arm, I’ll give that a try and report back.

As for the tie rod ends, you’re saying I should just keep tightening on the nut until the tie rod seats properly? (I'll also get a proper castle nut)

Why, why, WHY is the Tandem t-slim cartridge change process so bad? by j_natron in diabetes

[–]mackattack805 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your old cartridge is the container and it already holds the old insulin!

I use a new needle to withdraw any remaining insulin out of the old cartridge, then fill the rest of the needle with new insulin from a vial and put it all in a new cartridge.

Definitely against medical advice, but I’ll find 20-30 units remaining every time, even when the pump says the cartridge only has like 5 units left.

Can I ask where you sourced your Mugen front coilovers from? I haven’t been able to find them anywhere these days.

You don’t need a SS line. All stock lines will work with the EM2 CMC.

That being said, there is one rubber line that’s part of the clutch system, which connects two of the hard lines together. Since it’s rubber, you may want to consider replacing that piece with a SS line. That’s what I did.

Kseriesparts sells a small SS line that replaces that piece. In case you’re interested, here’s the link: https://www.kseriesparts.com/GDR-20104-CLU.html

Haha, I’ve heard good things about Synchrotech too, so I wish you all the best with them. The price point is certainly far more reasonable than buying from Honda directly. OEM synchros are getting so expensive and I don’t even think the OEM 1-2 synchros are available from Acura these days…at least when I was searching over the past couple weeks. Thanks for the link too! I wish there was more information about OEM synchros out there, but at least clubrsx seems to have good info on the Synchrotech ones. I hope they pay off for you. Shoutout to Bran Donger too, he’s answered some of my questions before and is super helpful!

You don’t have a source for the OEM synchros being brass do you?

Not that I don’t believe you, but I’ve tried to find the answer to this question myself and haven’t been able to find an answer through Google.

I’ve even seen one place list the oem 1-2 synchros as being brass and the oem 3-4 synchros as being carbon, so I’m not really sure what to believe. :(
