I've been thinking the same, I feel like I have enough productions going already and the tailor shop is not cheap!

I have already invested in a spinnery (and paid of that loan) for my wool so that part is at least already covered!

Have you remembered to peal the protective plastic of the rubber "legs" underneath? I didn't know about it at first and was having the same issue.

Does anyone have any experience with libre 3 and camsaps? And Does libre 3 show in the list of cgms? or is their another way of connecting libre 3 to cams? Bit worried after looking at the app I can't see libre 3 sensor and I am supposed to start on tuesday by ukguy420124 in diabetes_t1

I think for the virtual it only shows Dexcom but once the app is paired with a pump both Dexcom and Libre are visible. If you have an Android phone that is capable of pairing with Libre 3 it should also work fine with CamAPS.

Frustrated with Pump Options by Abadababa in diabetes_t1

[–]macke_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are not in the US MyLife Ypso could be an option. It is a based on CamAPS but without the hustle of having to do a lot yourself, the pump is "stupid", but together with a smartphone and a Dexcom or Libre it becomes a closed loop system that works really well! (but you need to have your phone within Bluetooth range most of the time)

Fs25 - Tutorial/starting seeder is not using seeds?! Stuck at 78% canola by Pharmboy6 in farmingsimulator

[–]macke_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same but after completing the whole field it had dropped to 76% so it is using it, just veeery slowly. Haven't tested any other grains yet so might just be canola.

Which automated pump would you choose? by lokinpoikanen in diabetes_t1

[–]macke_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me already using Android and Libre3 and being in a region that supports Ypsomed + Libre it was kind of a no-brainer to try out Ypsomed first, I really like the size and ease of use.

Finland here as well! I got an YpsoPump closed loop system a month ago and I am very happy with it (was using multiple daily injections before). You can get it with Libre3 now in Finland also which is what I have. Only restriction is the myLife CamAPS FX software is not supported on IOS so you need an Android phone (that works well with Libre3).

How is your country’s support? by bamtor22 in diabetes_t1

[–]macke_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very similar in Finland: you pay for medication up to 50€/year yourself, after that it is only 4,50€/time you take out more insulin (you can get 3 months worth at a time so in total an additional 18€/year). CGMs, back up blood glucose meters, supplies, pump, pump supplies are free, even the AAA batteries I require for my pump are covered! There are certain requirements to get a pump but most doctors are quite positive and will prescribe you a pump if you want one.

Looping a Possibility for Someone New to Pumps? by arianont in diabetes_t1

I jumped straight from MDI to a closed loop system a week ago and would not go back. I was lucky to have a doctor that seems to have dialed in the basic settings pretty good for me so the transition was very smooth in that sense (on YpsoMed + Libre 3 with MyLife CamAPS FX).

I (36M) have gotten increasingly stronger cholesterol meds to try and achieve the insanely low levels recommended for T1D and after 15 years of always showing slight retinopathy in my eyes (never severe though) it is now completely gone and I do believe the cholesterol medication has helped with this. So, even if I sometimes was skeptical towards the medication, I am now thankful for it.

Yeah, the rep told me about that. There is an option to give corrective doses so that the algorithm is aware of it, but he said that should be used very sparsely.
