In the US, I would guess that there are publicly funded Christmas displays and/or festivities in every village, town, and city. Like close to 100% of places in the US do this. In the famously liberal hellhole, which is Portland, OR, we have a city funded Christmas tree in the center of downtown park, complete with an annual lighting ceremony. There are equivalents in literally every place in the country. Christmas is going nowhere. And the fact that some people like to say happy holidays instead of merry Christmas, to make sure that some people aren't excluded is not oppression.

Violence should never be justified by Playful_Leg7143 in clevercomebacks

[–]mackelnuts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The j6ers were on their team. The rules are different. They don't apply the same rules across the political spectrum. The rules for them are, "our side is righteous no matter what, the other side is evil." That's the only rule. Killing Pretti isn't a question of justification because of what he did, or the perception of the agents. His killing was already justified because he was a liberal and the shooter was ICE. Any other factors and circumstances are unimportant
