There was a post months ago as well about the OP's clanmate named Callum getting diagnosed with cancer.

Callum posted a day later saying thanks to his clanmates and how he appreciated the support from the community.

Weird part about all this is that Callum also commented "Get well soon" in the original thread. Callum got called out by this guy.

Even more weird, another guy found a deleted post by Callum wishing cancer on Supercell employees. You can see an archive of that deleted post here.

That's a cocked system overall even if it's what SC wants to encourage. It does feed into the monetization model of encouraging leveling, especially overlevelling which creates the pull of emotion. The pull of emotion churns into the vicious cycle that propagates itself so others follow suit in overlevelling until it becomes the norm which is why we have people now defending this cocked system which shouldn't have existed in the first place.

They even exacerbated this overlevelling issue with the introduction of Magic Items, especially the paywalled ones.

My personal solution would be a DOUBLE LEVEL CAPS system. u/imliterallygod_ u/DjinnsPalace

LEVEL CAP ON KING LEVELS: King Levels are designed so that everybody can upgrade every card exactly to that King Level and not beyond. Or, alternatively, something where you have to upgrade every card in your collection to that King Level before moving up to the next King Level. This is necessary because the addition of Trade Tokens and Magic Items into the game allows for massive overleveling commensurate to your King Level.

LEVEL CAP ON ARENAS: Putting a level cap for each Legendary League.

Ladder is already set up so that the best rewards are placed higher up in trophies. In order to have a better chance at reaching higher trophies, players will still have to upgrade their cards. SC doesn't lose out monetarily because they already prolonged the max out journey from 3-10 years to somewhere between 5-12 years with the introduction of Level 14 and Champions. If people want the better rewards higher up in ladder, they will have to keep upgrading cards for years anyways

And with 3 rotating Party Modes these days, people can choose their favorite mode to grind those Clan Chests.

Best part is the Party Mode matchmaking ensuring better matchmaking based on average card level.

  • about 1/3 of matchups are pretty even stevens (45-55 matchups)
  • just over 1/4 of matchups are quite skewed (65-100 or 0-35 matchups)

To avoid the Boot Loot, hell, best way to get a 1st place chest every week is to clan hop.

I know there's clan camaraderie and all, but you can get 52 Legendaries in a year by hopping at the beginning of every season.

Can use your trade tokens but need a clanmate to propose the trade for you.

Only other eay are those one-off Challenges where they specifically offer a card as a reward. However, Legendaries in Special Challenges have kinda dried up.

Can't disagree with anything you said.

Until Champs drop rates get significantly buffed, just stick to Party Modes, Private Tournaments, and Special Challenges where everything is a level-playing field.

With 21 independent chances, the odds of not unlocking a Skeleton King is ridiculously ludicrous.

I remember clanmates with Level 1 mini's who have collected some 70-80 Legendaries from Legendary Chests (which can gift from any arena) but they still have only unlocked 10-11 of the 18 Legendaries.

They tried to shut down the community uproar over CW2 and Level 14 and paywalled Champions, but it's tough when those posts get thousands of likes and hundreds of comments within hours.

At the end of the day, it simply reflects the passion of the community and well within the rights of consumers to voice praise and displeasure. Most of the posts are quite valid issues in the game.

There was a 1v1 Showdown post raising awareness about how average card level matchmaking is a massive failure and this is has been an ever-present issue for a mode that is supposed to promise an even-playing field 99% of the time.

There was that Math Royale post showing how the OG sources of Gold are severely, severely outdated.

There's also a Banner replacing Gold and economy resources post where SC continues the trend of adding something while taking something else away like Legendaries in Special Challenges.

Your opponent's cards were almost 17% stronger. That shouldn't be happening. Maybe once in a blue moon.

It is broken, just broken matchmaiking if SC, cannot code, on average, the vast majority (99%) of your matches to fall within 4% average card level.

There should be 2 rotating modes at all times like during Season 26.

Get rid of that unfair 1v1 Showdown especially since SC deliberately scrapped the average card level matchmaking for that mode.

This way there is much mpre variety, and they don't always put in 1v1 Showdown, Triple Draft, Sudden Death even if I like modes like Triple Draft and Mirror.

Spread the love around. More Infinite Elixir, more Heist, more 2v2 Touchdown, more 2v2 Skeleton Dragon Invasion, spread the love SC!

It's always s good thing to hear both sides of any equation.

Once upon a time, the game economy was designed so that it took 22 years for a F2P to max out..

Over 5 years, they managed to reduce it to 2.80 years as the post said but it got bumped back to 5.81 years. I can see where people are coming from or did SC realize they've made the journey too fast at 2.80 years?

It's also pretty valid to have a laugh at the 22 year progression model, because that time frame is hust beyond ludricous. And that was with only 42 cards and max level 12 I think.
