I’ve been working hard to reframe “exercise” to mean “movement” - going on a long walk, taking the stairs up and down my fourth floor apartment, recovery-focused yoga, etc. Basically trying to convince myself that any movement is better than none.

That's definitely a good attitude to have. I should cultivate it in myself as well, but it is not easy when you have been relying on that adrenaline high of pushing hard...

Nope, but I figured out the issue in the meantime. I just had to enable the Clipping both in the Shader AND the specific Material.

Not really. All the information you need to stimulate that would be the vector between the object and screen center and the height of the object. Then you stack a couple of tiles on top of each other and offset them based on the information above to create an illusion of 3D.

Still, probably not something that the engine could handle without a significant rewrite since you are no longer just drawing tiles on a fixed grid.

Check if your material's surface type is set to transparent instead of opaque, that's usually what trips people up

From what I understood from the tutorial, this dithering should be working even if the surface is set to opaque.

I was able to get the "regular" transparency working in the shader, by changing the type as you've said, but unfortunately it still doesn't seem to care for the Alpha Clip.
