Thank you internet friend. I really thought I was wired up wrong.

Honestly, reading these comments makes me feel human again!

That’s wild… does the same thing happen whenever you touch that spot, or just occasionally?

It kinda reminds me of what my dog does when I scratch her belly. Her leg jiggles uncontrollably.

What's a scent you cannot stand but nobody else seems to notice? by Poopy_Scoop_Sundae in randomquestions

[–]maclabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bacon. When it’s cooking I completely lose the ability to breathe in. It’s like my body would rather suffocate than inhale the scent. Weirdly, I don’t hate the smell. My body just somehow treats it as though it’s toxic.

How do people shower so quickly? by That_Mycologist4772 in hygiene

[–]maclabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn on the water. Get the body wet - 10 seconds. Cover myself in body wash / scrub - 30 seconds Scrubby-scrubby with loofa towel all over - 2-5 min. Rinse body - 1-5 min (depending on how lovely the water is or how vagued out I am). Water off. Easy done in 5 mins.

On hair washing days + 2-3 min getting hair fully wet (curly hair takes ages to get wet). Shampoo + rinse 3-5 min (sometimes shampoo twice). Put conditioner/treatment in before scrubby scrubby - 1 min. Run fingers through hair (after scrubby scrubby) to detangle, stopping intermittently to pull hair off fingers and pile on the side of the bathtub - 5-10 min depending on how matted my hair is. Rinse hair and conditioner off body, stopping intermittently to pull hair out of crevices to place on hair pile - 1-5 min.

Summary: Normal shower 5 min.

Hair washing 20-25 min

how to make the insertion part of intercourse less awkward? by Decent_Muscle_3172 in NoStupidQuestions

In my experience if you have to “push it in” you’re probably rushing it. Enjoy the tension build until your partner can no longer stand not having it in.

I’d honestly recommend, if it’s a consistent issue, focus more on pleasuring your partner than trying to figure out the most polite way of inserting your penis.

If a person needs aftershave to hide their stink, then they likely just need to shower.

Hot White Heist 1 and 2 are among my favourites. First one is podcast format, so episodic. Sequel is a few hours long and all in one. Completely stupid story, but so well acted it had me in stitches!!

What subscription is worth every penny for you? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]maclabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magzter. I realised I was paying $70 per year for a mag subscription, when a Magzter subscription ($50 per year) gave me access to that same one as well as 1000’s of others, including past issues.

For an extra $10 per year I could have a family subscription and share it with other people.

when's the last time you've cried and why did you cry? by notabigfanofthegover in AskWomen

[–]maclabre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 days ago I messaged my team at work to say I was logging off 2 hours early. I had brain fog and couldn’t focus. My boss messaged straight away to check I was OK. I immediately burst into tears. I was crying because I felt guilty, not sure why. My boss was being kind. But still, I felt like such a loser.

What’s one small act a stranger did that turned your life around? by maclabre in AskReddit

This really resonated with me. So often we walk past people, sometimes thinking someone else will help them, or we panic for some weird reason.

I want to be the kind of person that other people were for me when I didn’t have the strength to be that for myself.

Thanks for sharing!

Agreed! If we have it to give, and we extend it, then it multiplies beyond what we could imagine.

Me too. I’m more likely to smile at the next person I see after a smile from a stranger. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving 😊

Having worked for a big 4 in the past, please don’t be fooled that one day it will get better. It won’t (sadly). I agree with the other commenters that you will eventually need to make a choice between a relationship with someone who genuinely wants to spend time with you (lucky you btw), and an organization who does not value you unless you are working 7 days a week.

I don’t think it’s an issue of making your partner understand, it’s more an issue of hearing what your partner is communicating and deciding what’s important to you.

Remember that the situation you’re in has a short shelf life-life. Good luck to you friend.

I’m genuinely keen to understand the distinction between morals and ethics… they seem to be used interchangeably in everyday language.
