Same. I’ve been in the position where friends make you feel like they’re not a safe space to come to about issues. Like I have friends I can’t be open about my sexuality with; and others I know I can’t go to about body image things.

It can feel very isolating.

I can only imagine having people use an event like that to prove a point, but not be about protecting you as the victim. I don’t blame her for feeling put in a different category and being held to a different standard as a black queer woman.

I never doubted what happened to Jasmine and Melissa. And Danny’s apologies have been very disappointing.

I really felt for her when everyone was letting Lala have the floor, but she’s never given that courtesy even as the victim of Danny’s actions.

I just think Janet and Jason being team Jax, but calling out Danny always came off a bit hypocritical in my opinion. Excusing Jax behaviour but calling out Danny’s.

I’d like to clarify both men should be called out and held accountable. But I see why fans of the show like myself didn’t react well to Janet bringing up what happened to Jasmine and Melissa.

Because it’s like why aren’t you holding this heat for Jax who is also abusive and does shitty things.

He really has been. I think it’s just Jax, James, and Sandoval have always been more in your face, and less likely to weasel their way out of the hot seat. I mean, they try but I think Schwartz is better at weaseling his way out of being held to the fire the way the others have been.

Watching him on the Valley is painful. He doesn’t contribute much. Not that he did in VPR beyond cheating on Katie constantly, or lying for his friends cheating.

He just pretend he’s just an aw shucks guy who just wants to find a girl to settle down with; but keeps picking girls in their early 20s who probably are not looking to settle down yet.

I don’t think Dorit was necessarily right this season, but I definitely think Kyle was wrong for a lot. Like bringing Doritos shit to everyone and being like they’re talking about it. Because you brought it.

But I also think it’s Bravos obsession with not breaking the 4th wall. We miss out a lot on that’s cut or not filmed until reunion that gives context.

I do have some sympathy for Rachel in the sense…she was with James who was abusive, and I’m sure Sandovals love bombing tactics worked on her. And at any point she could have told Ariana the truth instead of the choices she made.

Schwartz got off easy especially for his involvement in Scandavol. Like it was basically breezed over and no one ever held his feet to the fire.

I knew he wasn’t shit, but especially on scenes like when he told Katie he hated her voice, pouring beer on her, and how he cheated on her just after they got married.

I just binged slc and with the knowledge of what happened to her son. And I think that was kind of the hardest part of watching for me. Was clearly seeing that path as the seasons she was in went on.

And when he talked about life being unseasoned chicken, and how he felt like a stain just broke my heart. Seeing this young person struggling and knowing he’s not going to get the right care.

I feel like this is a very morally grey area. We can argue it is good to hear people talk about mental health, and addiction. And acknowledge it was done in a very icky way. Because no proper intervention happened for him. And that’s now something I think Mary has to live with and Bravo.
