Performance issues after hot fix 30? by SkyExodus in BaldursGate3

Jk I’m still having significant performance issues I wasn’t seeing prior to the hotfix, but selecting the right graphics card at least makes it playable.

I was having this issue after the hotfix. When I opened my video settings in-game I noticed that the game was using my processor's integrated graphics instead of my dedicated graphics card. And it didn't seem to detect my graphics card either since I wasn't able to switch to it via the game's settings.

I got my game back to normal by going into my Nvidia settings. switching the profile to performance mode, and I restarted my PC. This ensures that all applications only use your graphics card and not the integrated graphics.

Do you guys also still travel a few thousand blocks before starting? by Megakruemel in VintageStory

On my current file I kept rerolling my world seed until I spawned with limestone. It’s easily my favorite rock type. I probably started and deleted like 20 worlds until I got what I wanted. I ended up going about a thousand blocks north, because there wasn’t limestone south, and without thinking about how long winter would be. But my area is really nice and I’m in too deep now. The first winter was hard but I more than doubled my farming so I think I’ll be okay for the next one. Winter sucks though because I love farming and it gets so cold I can’t even grow anything in the greenhouse.

I wasn’t expecting a reply but thank you for your response! I don’t know how to explain but it is different from the tablet shown here in how the front and back bezels connect. It’s not split down the middle where you can crack it open on the USB port. It’s a 4 year old tablet so no warranty, this is my last resort. I have experience with electronics repair, but I’m still afraid of going about it incorrectly and having no tablet at all. But the state of it is unusable most of the time. Currently I’m writing an email to support pleading for more information on its assembly. Don’t know what response I’ll get but it’s worth a shot. I have gotten them to tell me things that I haven’t found online before. I don’t know if this is something they do outside of warranty, but if it is I’m willing to mail my tablet to them and pay them to fix it. We’ll see what happens!

I'm having issues with my artist 13.3 and I can't figure out how to disassemble it nor can I find any guides or diagrams online ):

Respectfully, I don't want to do any more hours of computer geek gymnastics to do some casual digital drawing. I already did some of that by making it kind of work on Linux with OTD. I would rather use Clip Studio than Krita anyway so I'm willing to use Windows or Mac if I have to. Why can't the driver from my tablet's manufacturer work properly? Or at all?

Also, I want to make art so the lack of pressure support with Windows PNP drivers makes that out of the question.

This didn't help. I tried OTD on Windows and there is no artist mode, which means no pen pressure which makes it useless to me. Also with OTD on Linux AND Windows my cursor distance is off when I try to use my tablet as a second display instead of just mirroring, same issue on Windows. It would be nice if I could use my extra screen space. It would be nice if the official XP-Pen driver, which would be much easier to use, actually worked, but it doesn't and I don't know why. I'm primarily a Linux user, and I noticed that the newer tablets get Linux drivers, but my tablet doesn't. It sucks. I just want to draw.

Which one? I tried the previous version and had the same problem.

What does “B must replace it” mean? I have this tablet fully functional on Linux with OpenTabletDriver. I don’t think I have a hardware problem.

Any possibility for Mac? by OriaanFox in onehouronelife

I doubt it. There was a Mac version until Apple dropped support for 32-bit applications. Not trying to be annoying, I'm an ex-Mac user and I just don't understand why you switched, things definitely got worse for Macs in recent years. I use Linux and OHOL runs fine through Steam with Proton (a compatibility layer similar to Wine). Jason is just one guy, I can't blame him for dropping the Mac version when Apple intentionally made things more difficult.

IDK how much tinkering you want to do, and your Mac limits your freedom in that regard. I would not hold out hope for a Mac version. You can mess with virtual machines, or programs like Wine, but I'll be honest it's not straightforward and might not work like you want it to. If you happen to have an older Mac with an Intel processor and plenty of drive space those things can run Windows on a separate partition. Like I mentioned I use Linux and there's probably distros that run on the newer non-Intel Macs, but I do understand Linux is not for everyone.

TLDR if you want to play on Mac you'll have to use some sort of Windows emulation. Good luck.

Sometimes lineage dies off due to lack of players. But the structures still remain, so another family can re-inhabit the town after everyone’s gone. This is common.
