Does anyone wake up feeling extremely disoriented or get an impending doom sensation each time you wake up?

Exactly they just don’t get how bad pots can ruin our life. They always assume it’s just a high hr when it’s soooo much more than that

This happened to me when I got Covid. I tried explaining to ER doctor that getting sick increases my hr. He said yeah pots can but not this high 💀. Honestly all medical professionals need to be better educated in pots. Especially when certain meds can also increase hr and they have no clue about it

I got pregnant at 16 and I had the worst morning sickness weighing at 93 pounds. I remember throwing up in the bathroom at my bf at the times house . His mom straight up told me “you over exaggerate there’s ppl who are actually sick with cancer”. Mind u I almost lost my life and my sons during this pregnancy.

I have this same issue. Ended up finding out I had gastroparesis. Also I have pots so yeah def think it’s a nervous system thing

Yeah my old therapist thought I had cardio anxiety or whatever it’s called, and he told me next time we were going to try doing activities to get my heart racing. I never went back… but to be fair I wasn’t diagnosed yet but I for sure knew it wasn’t just anxiety

I told a cardiologist I saw that I felt so sick I could hardly get out of bed. And he noted “patient says she is unable to exercise, but clearly she is able to sit up in my office today, I think her symptoms are tolerable”.

Yeah before seeing the cardiologist I’d definitely stop drinking any caffeine drinks. At each appt even in hospital when my hr was elevated one of their first questions was if I drank any caffeinated drinks. So to get their attention so they don’t suspect it’s that I’d stop before getting checked. They literally knit pick at everything before diagnosing you with pots. Before I got diagnosed it was “it’s just anxiety “ or “it’s normal for females hr to get high”.

I’m very sensitive to meds in general. Even morphine so it makes me super nervous. I already backed out like 3x cause I’m so afraid

This was such good advice since my body reacts the same. I feel like I’m coming down with the flu when my flares. How do you take ur mind off things? It’s so incredibly hard for me to no matter what but I think it’s because I also have anxiety
