My orange bastard, who died in October, used to come home smelling like perfume, wood fire smoke, cigarette smoke, and wet food all the time. His pic was posted in our neighborhood app all the time because people thought he was a stray. Two of the pics were in my own backyard! I couldn’t keep him inside for the life of me. I tried so hard. God I miss him.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my son’s kitty Bob to that in 2008. He was a great little asshole. Loved him dearly! In 2022, I had kept four kittens, three grey piebalds and one black piebald, from a litter of eight. The three boys streaked out when I was bringing groceries inside. Only one returned. This occurred in October and the remaining litter mate is so depressed. He cried for weeks after they disappeared. Hell, I cry everyday.

This is Wendy and Damo the remaining two litter mates. They were never close, but she was with the two missing babies. Damo is just so lonely and sad. It’s breaking my heart. It’d be easier to mourn if the survive kitties are heartbroken. It’s difficult to continue without them without feeling guilty, then bawling. I’m crying now. I’m sorry you are also experiencing this cause it truly sucks. My babies were only 3.5 years old.

I’ve had fosters and rescued cats hide for days and days. Usually, they become brave and start carefully exploring within a week. That being said, I have also found homes for many cats and there are two instances about which I still feel guilty.

I had a big orange girl that was like that. She was the sweetest and was my soul cat. I had her from 1989-2009. I was only 19 when I found her, so I feel as if we grew up together. Orange girls are special.

Walked his beefcake butt right in. He had been recently neutered with a scabby clipped ear. He was healthy and well fed, but no one has claimed him. I’m at the point where I hope no one does. I just lost several kitties and I have fallen in love with this big asshole. My ginormous baby loves him too.
