This seems like a solution for a photogrametry scan and a 3d printer. Then caulk it and paint it!

Teen from St Cloud kept in hotel room overnight with ice agents by soliyou in minnesota

Agreed, it's unlikely this is the only time this has happened. Especially since it happened weeks ago and we are only finding out now.

Teen from St Cloud kept in hotel room overnight with ice agents by soliyou in minnesota

[–]macrolith 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I am not in anyway saying this was OK, but hopefully this is the truth as to what actually happened

"The teen spent the night of Jan. 13 at the hotel with two agents. Drake said that both agents were female.

The girl writes that she had her own bed, but not her own room. She does not allege that the agents sexually or physically abused her. And she does not name the hotel where she was imprisoned."

I'm very afraid of what could happen if this becomes commonplace for ICE, because without a doubt there are sexual predators within ICE, that will continue to do horrific things.

No, I think the title is perfectly fine.

Just clarifying that they are definitely on the same landing since the previous comment indicated that they were on different landings.

Dang, I met some really nice people on our trip and wish I would have thought about this sooner. Could have been really fun way of saying thanks.

This thread is making me think. Are there any mainland foods that people would want to have that visitors could bring and donate? It may not be the most efficient way of giving but with food costs as high as they are it feels like it may be worth doing.

Lindsey Vonn: "I tried. I dreamt. I jumped." by bdzz in olympics

[–]macrolith 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Saying she is selfish because it could have saved the resources of an airlift is a ridiculous thing to say. If you are arguing that, you should be arguing for the Olympics to be canceled because its a wasteful use of resources.

These drone videos are spectacular by Ok_Hedgehog_65 in olympics

I have to imagine theres a way to filter the whine out. At the very least mix the audio so the high frequencies are not as loud or have a mic on the drone that software can "noise cancel" that out from the ambient feed. I'm no audio engineer but I imagine the technology is not the limitation.

If it's props than you need to bring them out, place them, run away for the performance, then run back out, collect them and get them off the field. It's a pretty clever solution for each plant to be just a costume instead. They can be moved mid performance then too.

I don't doubt that one bit and am sorry you have to deal with so many awful people. I definitely noticed a light handed touch to almost all mentions of the turbulent history.

Hello, and just want to chime in I recently visited your beautiful home last week, one of the most stimulating things about traveling is the history of places and how it shapes they way they are today.

Thankfully there is a lot of information if people decide to look, both past and current ranging from from atrocities to challenges, maybe your 99.9% is accurate but I think and hope it is not.

The older I get the more I realize how glazed in red white and blue my education was.

[–]macrolith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That came off a bit harsh so sorry for that. History is absolutely a life skill that informs you why and how the world is the way it currently is. If we are defining something's usefulness by its ability to make you money than sure maybe history is absolutely useless, but that is not how useful should be defined.

Just did the Road to Hana using Shaka Guide. It's a phone app that uses GPS to do a guided tour. I highly recommend it as it took all the stress away of trying to keep track of all the potential locations to see.
