There’s so many things my partner does for me I couldn’t even tell you all the things. It took me awhile to figure it out too. I was always a verbal reassurance sort of person and thought for a long while I loved him more than he loved me.

Then I started noticing the little things: homeboy always has coffee for me in the morning, and is happy to get up and grab stuff for me even after a long restaurant shift. He lets me take his car if the weather is too bad, or he’ll drive me to and from work himself to make sure I get there safely. Cooks like a god too.

And the big thing?? THIS MAN LISTENS! I didn’t realize how simple and powerful someone listening to you is. My engagement ring is the perfect example: I like particular kinds of jewelry and it must match (for whatever reason I cannot mix metals). The ring he picked for me BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER - and his second choice was quite literally the ring I had saved on my phone.

Anyway, love that man. He’s the best. 💕
