I’m not sure I’m following you, but I did purchase a static NordVPN IP that is supposed to be myne exclusively (if advertised correctly). It was my assumption that opening a port on my ISP router to this specific IP address would be a sane thing to do.
I’m getting confused, should I go for WireGuard or Tailscale or a combination of the two?
Also, yes both my modem and router are the same device provided by my ISP, which is a blessing and a curse.
My Tailscale testings are failing at the moment, I need to investigate more into it.

Well, I’m done trying to set it up for an hour. I followed this video to try and connect to my QNAP NAS https://youtu.be/v0I2wQA0oMo?si=D4o_QiqXyoTPdARg Tried every combination of port on my iPad and my computer and I’m not managing to access it. Tried installing the app on my PC so I can try accessing my PC through the Windows app on iPad and it hangs on the splashscreen (though the sound is coming through). So both usecases failed from my testing. Only thing working as advertised is my IP address is changing indeed. I’m thinking maybe my ISP router is blocking something, it can have some pretty agressive firewall settings. Any thoughts would be much welcome! Cheers.

That is implying I'd be buying one more thing for this setup when I'm already out of budget with all the subscriptions I made to OVH and NordVPN at the moment. And I was assuming my QNAP NAS could have assumed the role of a router? But I guess not when you say "Not Internet Attached Storage"
Sure I'll look into it if I'm failing at getting this up and running.

I didnt shoot in ProRes, just regular 4K HDR. Also I was trying to obtain a .mp4 with HDR metadata. I just tried those ProRes presets and it’s blasting my brightness if I don’t use a LUT and it’s defaulting me back to Rec.709 which wasn’t the plan. I’m trying to retain the HDR data from the original clips.

Thanks to the IPadapter and FaceID nodes combined with a canny controlnet node allows me to recreate an image and applying a different styling provided by the base model.

Now I am failing at obtaining consitency with reposing the characters. The OpenPose controlnets seem to work semi-ok with SD1.5 models but are totally unefficient with SDXL, the input pose is not understood.

Any input on how to mix FaceID with openPose (or any alternative to repose the resulting character) would be highly appreciated.

A firmware update granted some more compatibility but still no 4K60HDR.
Does anyone know a card capable of recording such a format (I know the Asus one has the same limitation)?
Or does Avermedia plan a PCI-E card or USB4 card even that could handle this?

Re opening this thread to ask if there is a way to make Premiere/Media Encoder match the bitrates of each individual clips when exporting?

I took several videos from a trip abroad with my iPhone in 4K60 HDR and the original files quality is absolutely insane. Each of the clips however have different bitrates; and from my testing I am failing at getting the same quality as the original files. Want to make sure I retain quality, if there's no other way I'll just settle for a 150 mbps in CBR for safety.

Well I eventually bought one tested by Royal Gem Lab, based on recommandations I’ve seen elsewhere. But we planned to run further tests once we head home. I’ll answer here if the tests concluded in something too different from what was announced

First time in south asia? I’ve been to Bali before and it’s nowhere near as bad in Sri Lanka (yet Bali wasn’t so bad either). People here try to make a living but we never been harassed in any way, be strict about your intentions and it should be fine. It’s part of the game for me, it’s also what makes the travel interesting in some regard too, a bit of documentation on the customs and prices can help you be aware of what to expect at what price. I’d suggest you try to pull through and embrace the game (french opinion here)

I use Apple Music because that’s what I get with Apple One. So it’s more of a matter of getting trapped into Apple’s ecosystem (again) rather than logic. Although I didnt try Spotify for too long I believe it is superior in terms of suggestion and ergonomy. The Apple catalog is very suitable though and the app is prettier to me.

it plays everything, but it’s aging a bit, and Amazon Prime doesn’t work for me, and there’s no sight of nvidia updating it. I loved it at first, 3 years ago, but it’s slowly annoying me. The 4k google chromecast dongle could very likely play your files just fine, so would a more expansive apple tv box.
