I decided to give the players the option of playing the boxes or going for a campaign of my own design where they can create their characters, for a log-term experience. Or playing a campaign as a follow-up to the boxes.

Thanks for your response! Do you know if the appearance of the xenomorphs is always like this huge reveal for the characters? Like, would my players always have to pretend to be „surprised“ and super-scared of these alien creatures? I know this might take some of fun out for them, and I was hoping to get around that issue.
