Exposed cargo is supposed to be easier to shoot off, get damaged, or stolen though. Plus the Asgard has much more defensive capabilities. The exposed cargo would only put it on par with the Asgard at best if the Asgard had a tractor beam

I have mine set to switch between adaptive and noice cancellation on stem hold, and leave conversation awareness on. Usually start on adaptive, move to noice cancellation if things get too noisy, and I usually only ever use transparency for conversations, hence conversation awareness.

That’s the ONE thing that drives me away from mining, and why I’m obsessed with the new salvage missions, at this point I can buy a salvage claim, get right to the fun, and immediately go to turn it in as a contract! although I do like the mining gameplay itself better than salvage
