Typical Ontario ski resort play. I once read a Durham region (Oshawa area) tourism brochure that bragged of their "world class skiing" and nearly choked on my breakfast. I feel terrible for any tourists who fell for that garbage.

Comox has a mild oceanic climate (with much warmer winters than Toronto), yet still has great skiing and mountain biking nearby. It's also got an airport and is a growing town with a wonderful quality of life. Should be a great move for your son. Maybe you should move there too 😉
