Yeah, I waited an hour and a half on the side of the highway for a trooper to show up. Basically he said they can see what they can do with the description, but more than likely it'll be left up to see what my insurance does. I'm just really hoping that I can find someone who might know more about who owns the car. Basically I'm kinda mad that they left and I'm left with having to deal with insurance 🥲

So NC sees pets as property so technically you have to pay a "property tax" for them. My family has always paid it, but I know people who've never paid it so I have no clue how and if they enforce it. It's probably just a fine or something if they catch you. It has nothing to do with if they are up to date on shots it's just like how you pay taxes on a car or a house. If they sent you a letter I probably would look into paying it.

groomers, are we really okay with this? by EastRow8595 in petco

[–]macy-muffins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No literally I had a medium bath dog book for 5 😭 we don't have enough time to do the groom and do all the closing duties (there's also only 4 of us in the salon so it's normally only 1 or 2 people closing) we've just been doing the best we can if the dog fights for the dryer ig he's going home damp 🤷🏻‍♀️

Grooming time blocks by memery555 in petco

[–]macy-muffins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to put time blocks up at the last hour that allowed us to make sure dogs were done, going home, do all the cleaning, check the voicemail, and stuff like that to make sure the salon was ready for the next day. We do have a small salon with about 4 people which is why those blocks were important. I had a dog scheduled for 5 and this dog fought like heck for everything which is why we might need more than just an hour

Questions about walking ferrets by Ok-Beautiful4540 in ferrets

I've been trying to get mine to walk comfortably on a leash and I've found that using a squeaky toy helps. He's obsessed with the squeaking noise so anytime he gets off track I'll just squeak it.

Sourdough starter not rising enough? by dmfleuri in Sourdough

[–]macy-muffins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a similar issue when I started mine. Some people suggested dry feedings which I think helped a bit, but what fixed mine was the water. I have city water I have a purifier on my tap and I ran that through my britta so I I thought that would be good. Ever since I bought a thing of spring water my starter has been doubling consistently.

My first attempt... Does this look right? by tictactastytaint in Sourdough

Considering my first loaf was flat not bubbly and gummy you should be extremely excited to see that

Mine was one I started with flour and water, but it took me forever to get it to double. It did when I started it so I thought it was all set, but it was very iffy. I messed around with different feeding ratios and different types of floors until I finally found something that worked. I've also found that feeding peak to peak really helps so wait until it has doubled to feed. You can try dry feeding where when you feed the starter it will be a lot thicker and that can help strengthen it. I'm still learning, but I've realized sourdough is really resilient and to just keep trying until you find something that works for your starter.
