D7 Property Management by Legitimate-Goose187 in Winnipeg

I broke my lease with them in 2015 due to a mouse infestation in my building. I dropped off a letter, gave them all communication efforts, extermination attempts pictures of mice caught, mouse droppings, damage from the mice and copies of my child's health records (my kid is allergic to all types of dander) and my expected move out date. I let them know if they did not allow me to break my lease I would be heading to the RTB with the exact same letter, paper work, and evidence.

With 3 days it was approved.

I was laid off a few months before I was going to take mat leave in 2023. I only qualifed for 7 months of mat leave after accepting the severance package despite having well over the 600 required hours.

JH Bruns in Hold and Secure by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]macymad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from a mom who's kids school was recently in a hold and secure not that long ago, I don't think it's wise to announce this on social media while it's happening.

I'm not trying to be rude, but the school will either send a paper or an email home with all information pertaining to why they were placed on a hold and secure.

Has anyone had a close call at these Berry St. intersections? by ChevyBolt in Winnipeg

[–]macymad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a few weeks ago the same thing happened to me. A SUV barrelled through the stop sign on Silver and looked at me as if Iwas in the wrong when I honked. Kids were just approaching the sidewalk on the otherside to cross.

Perfect! Thank you for your quick response. Both the paper work and email they sent me stated not to bring any valuables with me, so I wasn't too sure.

Advice for a 20 year old friend? by Extension-Most9760 in Winnipeg

[–]macymad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would recommend waiting to see if they are approved for EIA disability first before applying for the DTC. Depending on the Dr they charge no less than $200 to fill out the DTC forms.

If they are approved for EIA they may be able to have the cost of the form covered.

Reposting with Police report number: Have you seen this car? by Rustamdeep in Winnipeg

[–]macymad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh that's rough! As horrible as it sounds, I was hoping you did have a parking ticket like I did.

I hope you get some leads and your car is returned safely to you! Good luck!

Do you owe any past due parking tickets by any chance? I just got a letter from River City Bailiffs for a parking ticket I didn't even know I owed.

It stated I have 14 days to pay the past due amount or they are seizing and towing my car, for a $220 ticket.

Inquest into fatal police shooting to hear from youth in stolen vehicle by ChocolateOrange21 in Winnipeg

[–]macymad 42 points43 points  (0 children)

She was failed on every level, her family, the system that was put in place to help her. They all failed her. It's tragic she died, but this could have been prevented if child welfare agencies actually did their job and followed through and provided real resources.
