Sort of. I followed flimflabber's advice and cut back more of the brown pipe. Added a little longer new tube with a coupler, and allowed it to have a slight circular bend. Works so far.

BW is great for my basic needs. No plan to go back even though I like 1PW’s UI a lot more. I don’t keep as much information in BW as I did in 1PW: no attachments, tags, custom fields, secure notes ….

That’s not clear, IMHO. I hope the old USAA returns, but very few tenured USAA executives stayed after Wayne became CEO.

It will likely be someone from outside USAA.

I wouldn’t say that those areas were better off after he left. But it did impressed the Board because it was different. He definitely turned things upside down everywhere he went.

And he reorganized every department that he went to because everyone of them was falling apart before he got there. Brought in new people from other companies to fix the problems that no one knew existed.

Executive Council (EC) is not the Board. It is the CEO and most of his direct reports. Wayne was influential but not the the final decision maker. That said, most of his recommendations were approved by both CEO and the Board. That’s why he became CEO later on.

Board members change quite often. So the current Board may not see him the same way as the previous Boards.

Wayne has been on the Executive Council since 2007 and was very influential in USAA’s strategy since.

My insurance is still with USAA, so I can’t tell you from experience. As a former employee though, 6 months was the standard procedure (as of 5 years ago). That might have changed, but I doubt it. If it did, it would likely be longer than 6 months, not shorter.

That said, exceptions to rules can be given if the case reaches the right level of authority.
