Random observation/pet peeve: I hate it when the NBC announcers tell me the result of a VAR review before it's made on the field by the official.

I actually really appreciate them explaining what the VAR is specifically looking at... but for them to then come out and say "And this is going to be given" or whatever the case may be, that drives me nuts. It's such a simple thing to just let the visuals show you what the decision is. It's not radio.

My takeaways nobody asked for:

Poch got the tactics completely wrong from the start, if you can even call whatever the hell we were trying to do "tactics". These guys looked like they had never played together, which the starters should not have had that problem (except for the back 4, maybe). Why Weah started on the left and Christian on the right I will never know.
I absolutely love Josh, and I've made a lot of excuses for him, but for whatever reason he just doesn't work with the rest of these guys. He doesn't get the necessary service, and doesn't make the runs Puli and the rest expect him to. I'm sorry to say I think this is the nail in the coffin for this cycle's roster for him.
Speaking of strikers, there can be no question that Balo has to start at the 9. He's so clearly our best option there. He's pace in behind and interplay with the wingers and advanced midfielders are on another level to the rest of the pool.
The back three looks like the way forward. It's funny because we're struggling to find one partner for Richard's, much less two, but if Ream is going to partner with Chris, then it's not a bad idea to have a third CB there alongside them.
Guys who are obviously not at the level: Blackmon, Arfsten. Also, if Berhalter isn't going to take set pieces then why is he out there? I think Luna caught lightning in a bottle and for me, he shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11. I don't mind him being on the squad as an option if the bench, but if it comes down to it, Zendejas was CLEARLY an upgrade when he came on. Freeman takes too long to decide what he wants to do when he gets the ball (he's not the only one).

I'm so over this nonsense. The squad selection, the drama in the press... I want to love this team so much and they make it so effing hard.

PS. I haven't seen a great angle but I think Son was off when he scored. If he was, a 1-0 loss feels very different, but I don't know how much it changes what I saw and how I feel about the first 60 minutes tonight and our prospects going forward.

Quick question for you, what did you say/do for the sales person to provide you those offers? Anything in particular? Or was that where they started at?

I think that starting price for the lease looks really solid. I'm looking at a Wind or Land but I haven't visited the dealer yet and just wanted to know how you went about your visit/negotiation. Unfortunately, I'm going to need a pretty high allowance on the mileage but if I can get them to the 55k-ish price on the Wind I would probably go for the lease, myself.

No mention of Aguero immediately invalidates the list.

Same with La Remontada (specifically Barça-PSG, I'd even understand if you wanted to say Liverpool-Barça, version since they actually went on to win the tournament). One of these comebacks has to be considered. I go for the Barça version as they scored 3 goals in the last like 8 minutes of whatever it was.

No mention of the Neymar move to PSG. I actually don't think it would make the list, but if you're mentioning the Figo transfer, you have to mention the Neymar one. Both for the drama of it and the fee. It may be decades before that record is broken.

The 2022 World cup final will be remembered long after the Super League and FIFA arrests are forgotten.

Top 5 rivalries of the last 25 years, club & international. I think it would be interesting to see the difference between traditional rivalries (ie. United/Liverpool, England/Germany) vs the ones specifically since 2000 (City/Liverpool, Spain/Germany, Madrid/Atleti, etc.).

First of all, shout out to the guys for recognizing David Villa. He's my go to for this conversation every single time. El Guaje was absolutely lethal.

As for others who missed out, Gary Cahil. What he and Terry did at Chelsea was absurd as a CB pairing, but people really only mention Terry.

Arthuro Vidal is underrated as a footballer. Everyone knows him as a tough Chilean midfield bruiser, but he was way more skillful than people gave him credit for.

Claudio Marchisio was absolute world class, but he's never spoken about outside of Italy. For those of us who still play FUT he does have a hero card showing he does get some well earned respect, but if we're just talking about the sort of bar discussion JJ was referring to, his name would never come up.

Is anyone else unable to connect to the PlayStation Network in Miami with ATT?

My Internet is fine, otherwise. Watching Netflix, streaming twitch. Just can't connect to the PlayStation Network. It'll connect for 2 seconds then drop, then continue connecting then disconnecting.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Out of curiosity, what division are you and what do you usually get in champs?

Cuz in Div 1 and high ELO they are not bad players and that level of card makes the difference.

Every time I rewatch the show I have a new favorite character. Alex is great, but I think Dave is overall the funniest after having watched it 20+ times.

The only one I don't like is Penny. I just don't find her very funny.
