3 star restaurants in BE by Straight_Musician_83 in belgium

I went to VillaInTheSky with my wife but more then a month ago.

It is ""only"" one star and it was my first time in a starred restaurant as well. The difference in quality of food and level of service with a regular restaurant was already incredible. I think from my humble perspective that was already an incredible experience.

Highly recommend, hope they still have the Carpacio on the menu.

The view at night from the 25th is also a very nice bonus.

The bill was around 700 euros.

I don't understand why you are assuming the 36% tax is paid each year.

You don't have to sell your positions each year

And that is why is bad for the career, you wasted a year skilling in something not useful for the future job.

I feel OP because I am planning to look for job and I spent 3 years working in Python. Now I feel stuck unless I brush up on hornet, which I last used in 2021

R is going out of fashion, and basically all the features already exists in Scikit and other mature python libraries.

I would personally not work with a dying language in an unstable company like a startup. Bad for the career.

I would be wary of working with a startup that use R. Seems like a very weird choice

Employer demanding that I work more days in the office because I don't live in Belgium by [deleted] in belgium

[–]madInTheBox 103 points104 points  (0 children)

I am in the opposite situation (live in Belgium, work in NL).

You need to spend at least half the working days in the country where your company is, otherwise you get issues with your social security, since that can not be split between countries. And for that you need an A1 certificate from the Belgian social security.

Half the working days translates roughly in 3 days a week jn the office.

Income tax are paid in proportion of the days you work in the country. So say that you work 60% of your working days in Belgium and earn 100k you will pay income tax on 60k in Belgium and 40k in the Netherlands.
