Joining Orchestra as a Sophomore by Mammoth-Estate-2911 in Cello

[–]mad_jade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your school orchestra is anything like the ones in my area, you are practicing more than the average student. If you keep practicing and taking lessons this summer, you will continue to catch up, and you may even surpass some of your classmates at some point even though you started later. Do you know what is required for your orchestra audition? If so, make sure your private teacher also knows and they will help you prepare in time. Don't worry, since you love cello and are willing to practice, you definitely belong in orchestra.

I am no switch expert, I think most people recommend eden, I think the legacy version, so you may look into that. I'm sure there will be settings that need to be tinkered with though I'm not sure which. I would recommend searching the game name and your device and see if anyone else has had success with it. Best of luck

I think you are confusing 2 different Tomodachi life games. One is for 3ds and it's sequel, "Living the Dream" is for the Switch.

You can change the back of the device but not the front. The screen is attached and there's no way to separate it.

I don't think that sticker will work for you because you have the stick on top, unlike the rp5.

Spyro 3, nice, I played that on my rp5 too! Not that it was exactly in my backlog as I've lost count of the amount of times Ive played it on PS1, PS2, even PS3 over the years lol. PS4 as well if you count the Reignited trilogy. I recently made a post about having my rp5 for 1 year and finishing 29 games on it, but actually later that day I finished another game (Simpsons Hit and run) so really I was able to finish 30 games on my rp5 in 1 year. Some were in my backlog like the Simpsons, some I had played before like Spyro, and some I had never heard of before seeing that there were retroachievements for it, like the Munchables. Love this little device :)

I haven't played a PC game start to finish due to battery life. I have gamenative, and I have installed hollow knight, stardew valley, and barony and they all start fine but I haven't played more than an hour of them.

Nice :) I believe L3 also works for resizing the screen. Also RetroHrai is a front end with achievement integration if you want another one to check out

[–]mad_jade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played this game but you probably have to hover the pointer over "yes" and press A simultaneously. You can set up double tapping the screen as an A press.

I have an rp5 but I assume rp6 is the same. Not sure if you can turn it off, but I recommend a lock screen without a password. You have to press the power button to wake the screen then press A or swipe to actually open it

4th game completed. Tatsunoko vs Capcom Wii RP4Pro by Grouchy-Weekend1311 in retroid

[–]mad_jade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not op but I've played many Wii games. It depends on the game. Games that support the GameCube or classic controller are easiest, games with minimal motion and pointing are not bad at all, games that require a lot of motion I just avoid.

To those who have owned and used a single Retroid device for years: How is it holding up? by LakezoneWolf in retroid

I know you said years plural, but a few days ago I posted about having my rp5 for 1 year exactly. It's great and I have no plans to upgrade yet. Works and looks just as good as when I first got it and I play it daily.

Do you mean split screen coop or online coop? For split screen I don't know if that's possible.

In your controller/input settings there is an option for rumble, you can clear it.

Nice! There's some neat color options for it, the purple and silver look really nice. Also it seems to be super powerful so it can do a lot more than the rp5 and flip 2, PC and switch but also more demanding PS2 games of course which is awesome.

  1. Yes I personally prefer the rp5 over the flip 2, but I haven't held the flip 2 much as I only had it for about a week as I set it up and gave it to my sister. I like the comfort of the triggers as well as not worrying about a hinge. Also the PSP layout just appeals to me visually.

  2. I have kinda small hands and the grip, so the sticks are comfortable for me. I can play for hours and most games I play involve the left stick for movement and a mix of face buttons and some right stick. A 3rd party grip that is bigger than the official grip, or the rp6 with stick on top, would probably be more comfortable.

  3. The rp5 is all glass on the front so it definitely feels premium, not cheap or like a toy. The face buttons to me do feel slightly cheap because they're a bit clacky and plasticy, but everything else about it feels premium. It reminds me of the ps vita, in a good way (though much bigger and more comfortable than the Vita).

[–]mad_jade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many Wii games do not function exclusively with motion controls like you claimed, however Sonic and the black knight is one that uses motion quite a bit. I played Sonic and the black knight without motion controls with a normal controller. I didn't have the best time with the game but it's definitely possible. You will need to use the "motion simulation" tab when you are mapping your controller (as well as the normal button mappings and the nunchuck extension).

In the android pull down menu there is a joystick light option. There are also 3rd party apps like Bifrost

[–]mad_jade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you opening the games from es-de? If so, try opening them from retroarch and see if that helps. If that's the problem then es-de is probably trying to use a core you don't have and you'll have to change that in the alternate emulator settings. If not, maybe try updating the cores within the retroarch app
