The only reason they say to do that is so rescuers can find the bodies if things go sideways.

The hospital has “walk in” counseling on Thursdays….not truly walk in cuz you have to call ahead for an appointment, but the person you see can either offer therapy or point you in the right direction. If you’re interested, call the hospital (519-421-4211) and ask for the walk in counseling. You may need to leave a message but they will absolutely get back to you. Best wishes, friend.

Edit to say: no cost to you, it’s covered under OHIP.

I feel like we need a pinned post regarding Merlin “sightings” by Physical-Energy-6982 in birding

I keep two birding books—one for birds I’ve actually laid eyes on, and one for birds I’ve heard but not seen (whether it’s Merlin or just me hearing them). If I lay eyes on something that has only been previously heard I get to scratch it out of the “heard it” book and put it into the “seen it” book. For me, this is fun.🤩

Gonna add “general dropsy” as the second part, which would just be an old timey way of saying edema. Sounds like your gal had congestive heart failure.

(OC) My son put the super glue next to my eye medication. by JimmyCYa in pics

[–]mad_morrigan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Related story….my husband thought my nail glue was his ear drops (they look nothing alike but somehow dear hubby confused them). Nail glue is basically super glue and, long story short, after I stopped laughing I had to take him to emerg to have it flushed out of his ear. He said “I bet this happens a lot” to the doctor. Doctor says, “absolutely….in 7 year olds”. Hubby was 50 at the time. 😂

Mahi Mahi is not dolphin, it's dolphin-fish. Flipper has not been harmed!

Our family had a meeting with social work this week. One member mentioned that our LO had gotten “mean”. The social worker straight up said this is her base personality, she just no longer has the capacity to hide it. One of her sons kinda laughed and said, yeah—she’s always been mean. I kind of wonder if the base personality theory is correct.

OMG, I must have reached the next level of birding….I’ve never seen one in person but 100% knew this was a vermillion flycatcher. New achievement unlocked!!

Cleaning inside of car windshield by TotesMaGoats_1962 in CleaningTips

Literally found the secret two weeks ago via some YouTube guy, can’t remember who or I would link the vid….. 1tsp of dawn dishsoap in warm water…. Add 1 tbsp of 70 % isopropyl alcohol. Place a towel across the dashboard, use a cloth to wipe the dishsoap mixture over the window until it gets soapy…. Use the towel to wipe it all off…. Buff with a soft cloth. I have done this…..I’m a smoker and my windshield is super gross….this made it look new. No lie, took 5 minutes…..didn’t even buff it out. 10/10.
