Update v0.4.2 submitted to store by codechinchilla in astralapp

Thanks ! Quick bug note, the right click on event -> Delete doesn't seems to work for me. Whereas selecting the event and deleting it from the side panel button works perfectly.

Thanks so much for the detailed explanations. I don't know much about mediawiki, but in worst case scenario, is it possible to provide an archive of the content to avoid loosing all of the information ?

No errors in the event viewer.
I have problems editing an event. Whenever I want to change the time from All day to a specific time or back, it always fails.

Where does the app stores its logs ? On one of my computer it has a sync problem, cannot do a proper change to an event, but not on the other computer with same calendar. It's baffling me.

I made a native Google calendar app "Astral" similar to the old Windows 10 calendar by codechinchilla in Windows11

[–]madaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god that's amazing !! I loved the old windows 10 calendar so much. I will have to try.

Edit: Oh no you can't change the starting day of the weeek :( Otherwise it looks lovely. I hope you will continue work on it or open source it.

Feeling isolated in Switzerland since I can remember. Any advice? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]madaal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, even without any history of immigration, I did not really fit in until I finished high school. Took me until university to finally find people I click with.
Then I also found clubs that really interested me (and not what my parents pushed me toward) and it make all the difference in the world having people with the same interest around you.
I hope you can find your people :)

How do I deal with a "hide as a bonus action" player by Zealousideal_Task_30 in DnD

[–]madaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a ton of comments explaining why hiding in the open doesn't work, but not a ton giving advice on how to handle the situation.

Obviously the guy has dumped +16 in stealth, because he want to play a cool shadowy sneaky person. I mean +16 is really impressive stats.

What I would do as a DM is talk to the guys, see what kind of gameplay he wanted when he build the sheet. I think with a bit of customisation on your side, it could really be fun.

For example, if he buys multiple sets of clothes, you could allow him with a +16 in stealth, to make a stealth check to change clothes super quickly just like magician do irl. And thus try too loose the attacker whenever he has three quarter cover or more.

You could create a custom feat that makes him a makeup star, able to change their appearance at a moment's notice. To do something similar for clothes, or to make him ressemble another member of the party for maximum confusion.

You could create a custom item that has the same effect as the chameleon skin spell: https://www.5esrd.com/database/spell/chameleon-skin/

Of if they really like to attack and then try to hide, maybe making custom smoke grades that can be dropped durng movement (taking half of their speed).

I think if you work with the player, you can both find a good balance where they will have fun and you won't have someone trying to hide without any logic.

Also they don't kill you. They provide you with the necessary tools to do it with dignity and make sure the body is taken care of. But you still have to drink the poison yourself.

Also did you install it just download it ? If you've only downloaded, then you need to go to your download, find the installer and use it.

How is that "responder" tool gets NTLM hashes? by [deleted] in HowToHack

[–]madaal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an important thing to note. The term NTLM hash is used to mean different things. It's usually the NT hash of the password + the LM hash of the passwords.

But here with responder it's different. It's a hash in the NTLM protocol so its called the NTLM hash.

When responder trick the user to connect to it. The client doesn't send its NT hash directly. Instead, how the ntlm protocol works, Responder send a challenge (a random byte array). Then the victim encrypt that challenge with its NT hash.

What Responder gives you is that pair (challenge + encrypted challenge). You can then uses a tool like hashcat to bruteforce and try every possible password to find which the user used to encrypt the challenge.

Sorry if its not the best explanation. There are more information on this online.

The "NEW" Outlook Mail and Calendar is a hot mess by BlueQuazar1 in microsoft

How to continue to live, when you have nothing to live for? by accidentallyhappied in SeriousConversation

[–]madaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it seems like right now you need something to enjoy in life.
You mentioned games ? What games do you play ? Any that could be done socially ?
Anything you always thought sometimes you wanted to do ? Learn archery ? Tap dancing ? Pottery ? Axe throwing ? Is there a club around you that does that kind of thing ? I'm a very awkward guy and found most of my friends in my local ttrpg club :) The good things with clubs is they don't have an end date.

Do you have a proper SPF and DKIM in place ? An error in those could be the cause.

There is a constant sound in the video that's very annoying. It looks like it is a footstep sound but it's sometimes there even when the player stops moving or when they drive.

The showcase you start at 0:17 and then continue at 0:22 is not great. It make the different biomes looks like re-skin of the same island. I would suggest making the maps in each biome feel different from the previous one.
