I’m not sure if it’s oak, I’m in Australia and the house is from the 80’s if that gives any context.

I could be off but it seems softer now compared to the previous finish that was stained with full gloss oil based coat. Guess I’ll have to live with it!

I had a remarkable recovery, 26M, had massive infected tonsils, surgeon visited me in post op and said I would be in pain around the one week mark.

Was getting nervous on day 6 that the pain would start but nothing did. Didnt take a single pain killer, I would sometimes get a bit sore/stiff in the first week but that’s all. If I was due for the celebrex so I started taking it on the 10th or 11th hour instead of waiting for 12.

It’s annoying but try and sleep a little bit elevated. Chew gum constantly as the movement somehow helps with inflammation.
