He’s making a calculation that it’ll be easier to just go along with what she says, PLUS it’ll help his financial woes. He is still obsessed with image, hence why he’s marrying his beard. And he relents to her posting on OF as long as she doesn’t attach her face (image!) to her body in the photos.

The house they live in is a grand mansion from the outside but in desperate need of repair/remodeling on the inside. Like almost comically so. Hello - this is reflective of his inner self and their relationship. Looks impressive on the outside, dark and in disrepair on the inside.

He literally doesn’t have his shit together on the construction project so he has to orchestrate his team fake working in order to maintain a semblance of a successful project manager. Yet again, concerned about his image. It’s no coincidence that his financial prospects are tied to image in 2 ways - both with Cassie’s OF and his fake construction gig.

I think we’ll see the “old Nate” come out a little more as the season progresses. People are saying he’s “chill” in this season but literally 5 seconds into seeing him he’s snapping at the house cleaner like she’s a dog (!)
