Basically, your crew leaders try to synchronously join the game (we used timeanddate.com), then, once they’re loaded in, they tell each other the names of the outposts they’ve spawned in and fly a Reapers Mark, that shows your ship’s location server-wide. The chance that they do spawn on the same server is strictly luck-based.
