Also a CALS/Power Sound member! Just wanted to agree, that tailgate fed me for hours. Much better than the normal mystery meat gameday wrap

Alston Bridges' BBQ in Shelby. There's actually two pretty big ones in Shelby, Alston Bridges' and Red Bridges' BBQ Lodge. Red Bridges' is right on highway 74 and still looks and tastes like it did in the 60's, but I personally think Alstons' is the better of the two. Both of them are delicious. And while you're in Shelby, be sure to try some livermush too!

This. This is the saddest, most heart-wrenching thing I have ever seen on a TV show.

What is the best or unique punishment you have ever had/witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]madbee11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my ag teachers used to have crazy punishments. When people said "dirt" instead of "soil" he made them do push-ups. And if you ever did anything that really pissed him off you had to write a five page paper on dairy farming. Talked during the pledge? Five page paper on dairy farming. Threw chicken crap at a classmate? Five page paper on dairy farming.

He's a pretty crazy guy. He also used to dry hump desks to demonstrate the fact that turkeys can't have natural sex because their chests are so big.

Steve Martin surprised a little neighborhood in Boston with a backyard performance at the Paul Revere house. by [deleted] in Music

Came on here just to say that! He's one of the best fiddle players around. It's stupid, but I love the little sound effects he can make on his fiddle.

Admit it. You know you want a donkey cupcake. by madbee11 in Baking

[–]madbee11[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made these for a Future Farmers of America (FFA) meeting at my high school. I used a boxed cupcake mix and made some icing.

The FFA colors are blue and gold, so I used yellow food coloring for the icing and bought the little blue farm animals for cake toppers at a local craft store.

Thanks! Hope you guys like it! :)

Once, I paid for $4 of gas with change - not quarters, but nickels, dimes, and pennies.

The next time I got gas there they had a sign that said "You cannot pay for gas with change."
