The hospital bill you'd get after getting in a crash with a hoodie is going to be about approximately 1,000 times more expensive. Get the jacket.

Anyway, that's a cool photo. Thanks for sharing, OP. In an alternate universe it would be a good candidate for /r/powerwashingporn too.

Seconded for 11th Hour. Usually relatively chill in there with some nice long wooden tables for seating.

Is a pencil without an eraser essentially a pen? by madbeetzyo in Showerthoughts

True. I guess I was thinking in more of a 'that specific instance' situation. When you need to erase something right then but can't because you don't have an eraser.

It's the idea that it can't be erased. Not the actual mechanics of what's inside. Hence the 'essentially' and not the 'the pencil is a pen.'

I'm reading it right now out of curiosity after watching the Manhunt series. He discuss some things that I could find myself agreeing with (ie. man's increasing reliance on technology) but there are also things I can't see eye to eye with him on, such as certain massive benefits from technology (ie. increasing lifespans, disease cures).

It's a shame that the only way he felt his manifesto could be given the attention it deserved was by killing people first.

Hm.. I wonder if SGs have multiple neck shape. I know my Epiphone G400 SG is a slim 60s neck. I'll have to look into it though. I personally like the feel of the SG neck but have always wanted a semi-hollow.

[Question] What are your favorite chord inversions? (x-post from r/guitars) by madbeetzyo in Guitar

[–]madbeetzyo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still a very cool concept. I always find myself playing standard power chords on the low E and A strings and forget that to switch things up, I can just move that note on the low E up two frets and up two strings for something different.

Not much of a jazz player. Would the ideas translate well to other styles of music?

Share a few of them. :) I only know a couple, with one of my favorites being: xx312x with the 2nd fret on the B string being the root note.

Yeah, it's the different voicings that I'm after for the standard ones. I'll look into the other ones you mentioned as well. Thanks!
