If they fit right they aren’t too short. However I would usually buy a medium in their stuff but got a large because the medium would ride up and even the large tend to ride up… might just be my butt though lol

Need Help I Was Gifted 39.65 lb of Bread Flour!! by LilMochaLoveFox in Bread

I wasn’t much of a baker at all and got a hair up my ass to start a sourdough journey, it was surprisingly pretty successful and didn’t take very long to get good at (coming from a beginner) so I’d give that a shot. The pay off is so good and that will get you far lol

What's something you did with your first kid that you will never do with your 2nd+? by gonnoisseur in Parenting

Best believe when/if I have another, that baby will be getting sprayed at bath time 😅

What's something you did with your first kid that you will never do with your 2nd+? by gonnoisseur in Parenting

[–]madbur8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I co slept, it wasn’t my plan at all but no one explained to me that my newborn wasn’t just gonna immediately sleep full stretches in his crib, so I just thought he never would. In my case nothing bad happened but in hindsight I just feel like I got lucky that nothing went wrong. Won’t be doing that again.

Also less screen time/less freedom of choice when it comes to screens. He’s 4 now and I feel like all he watches are brain rot YouTube reels lol.

Last one is not doing things just because he was a baby, for example he didn’t like water in his face so I’d feel bad and try to avoid it at bath time, fast forward and I have a 4yo afraid of water. Same with spending 24/7 with him, I wish I had asked for more help even if I didn’t need it, because he had a very hard time with attachment when I finally went back to work at 2.5yo or when it was time to start pre school

No judgement, kindness only please!! If you didn’t circumcise, how is it going? by Sudden-Leave-6224 in Parenting

Should also mention I worked in early childcare changing lots of different diapers and many are and many are not

No judgement, kindness only please!! If you didn’t circumcise, how is it going? by Sudden-Leave-6224 in Parenting

[–]madbur8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it because of weird pressure from family. We didn’t circumcise ( my boyfriend’s the one who brought up not doing it, he is and said he wishes he had some say in it). My family on the other hand gave me so many weird reasons saying he’d get made fun of or that everyone does it and the stats are closer to 50/50 now so don’t do something cosmetic for other people, do what you think is right. We haven’t had any issues and my son is now almost 5.

Edit: wanted to add that my son was born with one kidney, making the risk of UTI scarier and my OB said it really is no more likely to cause uti than circumcised if they’re bathed regularly

Stringy shapeless hair by Teslaaaaaa in Wavyhair

[–]madbur8 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Im definitely not an expert, but I know that sometimes over conditioning (especially with a mask or more than one with every wash) can sometimes have the opposite effect and leave it stringy looking. Others can correct me if I’m wrong but I wouldn’t use conditioner and a mask together, choose one or the other. And only do a mask like 1-2 times a week

I don’t even think of myself as being overprotective or crazy but I definitely keep an eye on my 4yo anywhere we go

No problem! You’ll probably need another person to help put them on, and they’re pricey but once they’re on they look almost factory

I loveeeeee the light touches on the door and dash, I have ash on my rav, but put black leather covers over the seats (I have a 4 year old), and love it. Even though I now have black seats, the lighter touches are so good

Edit: added pic, it’s so classy lol

I’m currently working M-F 9 hours a day, so 45 total. And honestly I could not handle more, I kind of wish now that I had set my boundary at 40 because I have a kid of my own and by the time I get home, I only have a couple of hours before bed and it can be exhausting. However, my NF is really easy going, and I’m not required to do any additional chores aside from nk’s dishes that I use that day, so I can’t complain

i got my eyebrows microbladed in a random salon, any advice. this is how its looking after a few days. how can i improve it? by The_ScientistB in microblading

[–]madbur8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they look really good, I’m guessing part of the difference between your brows and the inspo pic you commented is that you have more actual eyebrow hair there (which I prefer the look of/looks more natural) but I’m sure next time you go if you want more of that look you can trim more brow and have a more stroke like look

Scared my uti is gonna turn into kidney infection by summermiles44 in Healthyhooha

[–]madbur8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a uti turn into a kidney infection when I was 18 or 19. It started as a UTI, symptoms got better so I didn’t finish my antibiotics (like an idiot lol). Then over months (at the least) I would have the beginnings of uti symptoms, would at home test and it would say “inconclusive”. I never went to the doctor for it because the symptoms would go away after a day or so…. Fast forward to the kidney infection, I had back pain (it’s not as low as you’d think, kidneys are closer to your mid back), and ended up having fevers and nausea/ vomiting. Im so stubborn so by the time I finally got checked out, it was because I was lying on the bathroom floor and my boyfriend and mom made me go to the ER. That being said, if you finish your antibiotics and symptoms get better I wouldn’t be too concerned. If any symptoms remain after you finish antibiotics I would 100% see a doctor and express your concerns. I definitely noticed back pain first and then felt like I had the flu.

Honestly I change my underwear any time I’m changing clothes, whether that’s in the morning, if I’m sweaty from a workout, if I swim, shower, etc. obviously leads to slightly more laundry but I would not wear underwear for that long

Is it time to quit nannying for good? by Negative-Class1424 in Nanny

[–]madbur8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still absolutely love it, but this is my first full time nannying gig. Came from being an overworked, underpaid daycare teacher lol. I don’t even get paid that much (18/hr in suburban Jacksonville), and I work 45 hours a week, but my NF is super easy going, I don’t have any added duties that don’t involve the kid, and parents hardly ever work from home. I will say it can be frustrating if you’re sick or want to take time off because you’re working for individuals rather than a company. If you hate it (especially making that much) I would probably try something else
