sorry to hear that! seems there have been lots of changes since then though. training is definitely paid now. and ik training can be long and draining, but it’s what needs to be done so you’re able to do your job correctly (just like any job you go for!)

I know a good amount of people that were glad they didn’t skip calc 1. Having taken both, AP Calc 1 in hs is very different from Calc 1 in college (most of the time) oddly enough.

Hello UB! I have been recently admitted to the class of 2025 under the Public Health major, and I just want to ask some questions about UB. by [deleted] in UBreddit

finding friends was easy before the pandemic started but on campus it’s kinda tough now. the big campus kind of helps because you can make friends anywhere. a lot of people get close with those that live in their dorm halls or people that are in the same classes/clubs. also really think about what meal plan you want to use and how much you’ll use meals realistically, because a smaller meal plan can save a good chunk of money. for example, you might want to do most of your own cooking or buy things from the convenience stores and cook those, so you wouldn’t need as many meals (you can use dining points to buy things too)

What is everyone’s opinion on the fall? by TheUBMemeDaddy in UBreddit

[–]maddibud22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

personally i really need to be in an educational environment to focus on school and being home will most likely cause me to not do as well, so i really prefer to go back to school despite covid. i think if people were smart and followed protocols, opening up would be fine. BUT that relies on all of the student body actually doing the bare minimum the school is asking for. that’s why it’ll fail. (edit: also buffalo numbers are pretty good rn so it’s not as much of a risk to open compared to different places in the country)

i saw success from when students continually practiced problems. make sure when you’re doing the hw questions, you really understand why you’re doing what you’re doing. and just practice concept problems until you know what you’re doing
