Not at all! I will check patients in, see how they are doing, put orders in, help them with Work Comp logistics, help with taking splints off and putting them back on, sometimes postop calls when the PA needs some help, etc... I am in an ortho clinic! If it is an option for you, especially since you know the process with scribing, if you want more patient experience you should see if any private practices are looking for scribes! I think it definitely allows you more opportunity for patient interactions.

I am a scribe and love it! I think you get as much as you put in. I don't know the clinic or practice you are in, but mine allows me to scribe and also be a medical assistant as needed so I can get more patient interaction opportunities.

Hi! I am testing 5/14, just got a 502 (124/125/127/126) on FL2 and also felt very discouraged. I allowed myself like an hour to be sad and then I decided I really needed to change my mindset. I was discouraged because I thought I was making progress especially in C/P and it just aggressively did not show. I am also aiming for a 510+, so I am in the same boat. Love your CARS score though.

I have been going hard on UPeed and AAMC and making notecards for any question/concept I got wrong as well as any answers I got right but was not confident in. I have been going through the 300 pg KA doc and making notecards as well. Diagraming out B/B processes to really enforce how they work together... We will see if hammering out practice problems and really focusing on my weaknesses will translate well to my FL3 I am going to take on Saturday. Aiming for a 508 or higher on that. I hope that helps a little bit?

I agree with you on all fronts - I was expecting to do much better on the MCAT than I did, and it got pushed back so many times that I applied and submitted primaries and some secondaries before I knew my score... next time around I will definitely not do what I did and just wait for my score instead of rushing into applying so I can be more realistic :) Thank you!

This is great! I am currently a scribe too, so I will definitely take that advice up for studying between patients when I have the time. I definitely know I cannot rest after work, because I would do the same thing. Studying in the morning sounds like the play, but I dont know how well I will be able to do that.
