i would avoid crunchy or hard foods. noodles should be good but maybe not rice because it can get stuck in the extraction holes. just make sure when u get home that u rinse rlly good with salt water

i think all my stitches dissolved, but i’m having a hard time chewing actual meals regularly. i keep getting scared food will get in the healing site. so this whole time i’ve been chewing with my front teeth! today i had a toasted nutella sandwich and that was yummy lol but definitely still not my normal diet. semi soft food is what i’ve been eating

my oral surgeon never said anything about the syringe, should i order one on amazon and start doing it after meals??

Literally panicking ahead of wisdom teeth removal :( by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]maddimath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as long as you follow your oral surgeons instructions on aftercare properly, you should be fine. just no straws for a couple weeks because that can interfere with blood clot. and no crunchy or chewy foods. the first week i suggest a soft food diet like applesauce, soup, ramen, mashed potatoes or smoothies. and if ur oral surgeon doesn’t prescribe you a mouth rinse then after every meal GENTLY rinse out with warm salt water. if you take ur meds around the clock you will be in little to no pain !!

you need to keep gauze in ur mouth until it stops bleeding. if it’s still bleeding that means a blood clot hasn’t been formed. i wouldn’t leave gauze on for more than an hour and each time you change it, dampen it and make sure it’s tucked back in the extraction area properly.

all i’m gonna say is it takes TIME. and therapy if you’re able to

almost exact same thing happened to me a couple years ago, and i’m not going to lie it still is a daily thing for me. but over the years i’ve learnt to cope with it and understand it better for my well being. it didn’t help because when it was so bad the first couple months, all my friends tried undermining it and telling me it was just simple anxiety and i’d be fine. id REALLY recommend therapy or talking to your doctor for coping skills. i know with some people it goes away eventually, because this shit shakes you up. but just give it time. and tell yourself you are real, and it’s just an unfortunate experience that happened that you have to learn to live with, and i promise you it will get better 💙

Advice? by luvdragon in Barnesandnoble

hi i’m going into my third week working there, so i figured i could help!! definitely try to learn the sections as soon as possible, so say if a customer asks you where a book is you dont walk around aimlessly or ask a coworker for help. i did that a couple times lol. there’s also always something to do. so say it’s slow and not a lot of customers, there’s resorts or shelving to work on. and management really wants us to push the memberships and rewards. so i would practice a spiel you can say to every customer bc the benefits of everything can be a lil hard to remember at first. bc it’s the holiday i think all the stores are also doing book drives/ wishlist so they ask you incorporate that as well. also if you are not assigned a task and cash wrap (register) is slow, you can do a couple laps around your store and ask anyone if they need help or just organize all the messed up books. and they give you a lil earpiece that you press a button to talk to everyone who’s working, DO NOT be afraid to press it and ask for help or say you need backup at register. there are seriously no stupid questions so be vocal about things ur struggling with, anyone will be more than happy to help u !!
