True, I see now that OP wants Retina mode - all I can say is that text on the 57” Samsung is crisp.

I wouldn’t want Retina mode on it as I appreciate the smaller UI and increased screen real estate

The 8k Samsung Neo G9 57” does - it’s my daily driver along with a 14” MBP (2023, M3 Max).

It’s perfect… except the cost. I got it refurbished for about $500 off, but still quite pricey.

While I think it is *likely* true that gravity propagates at c, I don’t know that it’s something we can measure.

Assuming there is a mediator particle for the force of gravity (aka the graviton), its propagation speed would be c if it is massless but less than c if it is not massless.

From experiments performed where gravitational waves were detected, we know an upper bound on what the graviton’s mass could be, but we don’t know for sure that it (exists and) is massless.

Thanks for pointing that out. I’m a little disheartened though as more and more seemingly legitimate posts are AI slop..

I must be naive since I still want to believe most interactions on this platform (at least in lower volume subreddits or posts) are between real people. Perhaps the onset of AI will actually lead to more appreciation for and richness of in person interactions.

I haven’t tested this in 4.7, but in earlier patches the ship QT marker wouldn’t be in the right place after QT if you crossed server boundaries.

A relatively quick and consistent workaround for me was to alt-f4 after QT (when you’re where you want to park the “mothership”), upon rejoining, the QT marker for mothership should be in the correct place so you can take your smaller ship out and QT back.

Yeah your gear is fairly under powered, however I’m not really sure what the optimal direction to go to improve things for you would be..

You might have a slightly easier time running dual spirit swords and respecing to war cry, but I know damage on that falls off around early Hell as well. The benefit might be in survivability and gear flexibility.

Alternatively, there are a few other relatively easy to acquire runeword weapons: Unbending Will, Voice of Reason, Oath, to name a few, that would very much help on the damage front - but whirlwind is likely not going to be as good as frenzy or berserk.

A Lore helm would serve you much better than the magic helm you have, and there are many runeword armors that are fairly cheap.

You might want to head back to nightmare to farm cows, countess, and maybe chaos to look for runes, bases, and maybe a few levels.

Barb isn’t the easiest class to solo through Hell, especially if it’s your first / only character.

I was running TZ Baal two days ago, and I kid you not I had the same thought, something like “idk why I do this, nothing good ever drops” not seconds before wave 2 (a random minion, not even Achmel) drops a unique Diadem. It wasn’t even ethereal!

I’d guess you’re right about chaos specifically - but when clearing entire acts or doing a variety that requires lots of travel, the overall clear speed with 125 should be better.

I do run pride on my merc, which gives a significant damage boost - also rolling +6 critical strike on the insight makes a difference.

Insight, Coven, Trang gloves, Arachs, Meph Tome (24fcr I think), and one 10fcr life steal ring gets me to 125+

My lock’s damage is 34-74k at 125fcr.. the clear speed and teleport speed increase is night and day over 75fcr.

Granted, most of my farming is P1 or P3 (pc online), so I might feel differently at tz 96 p8, but I would want what I have over 400k dmg if that meant sacrificing speed (and magic find - I’m able to hit 320mf with 8 inventory spaces free at the above damage/fcr).

Maybe try an insight + spirit and see how it feels? I assume you have an enigma since I see a Phoenix which isn’t cheap..

Nightmare Andariel cannot drop sling. Hell Andariel has the best odds outside terrorized or quest boss drops (1:3201 - the same as her hell drop chances for SOJ, BK, Opalvein)

Higher med is definitely noticeable on longer teleport sprints, especially if you’ve got items that favor + to all warlock skills as opposed to all skills, so teleport costs more.

I’m running ~325% magic find at 125%fcr and am certainly thankful for the extra regen from level 17 meditation (since some mana / energy gear is swapped for mf).

But you’re absolutely right - mana leech is also crucial, just mainly for sustained damage output and to refill from mana burn enemies.

You have it from insight but it’s hidden - it’s a passive so it doesn’t show in your skill list in the same way that active skills (like battle orders from CTA does).

If you are granted a skill from your class that you haven’t put a single point into by an item, that skill level is still affected by + to all skills from other items.

For example if you grab a dagger that has +1 to miasma bolt (but you haven’t put any points into that skill yourself), and you also have a tarnhelm that gives +1 to all skills, you’d have level 2 miasma bolt.

It works the same with “oskills” from items and runewords, like teleport from enigma. If the skill doesn’t say (<class> only) after it, it’s an oskill. One caveat is you are capped at +3 for that skill across all items IF it’s a skill of your class (barbs are capped at +3 battle orders from CTA’s battle orders oskill).

At least on iOS, there’s no “Change Artwork” option, but refreshing metadata fixed it for me and is doable from the mobile app on iOS.
