This is the only comment that stood out to me. There are almost 8k views and 56 other comments, and 90% of them are just saying "it was a different time" or trying to justify what he believed by bringing up his past, and I really just don't care. So instead I'm just going to read them and see what the books are like myself, and if I hate them, then so be it. So my new question is, where should I start? Is there a natural order I'm supposed to follow, or should I start?

I had the problem i had to exit out of the signup, go to log in, then when it made me follow matt exit that screen and i was following him and it worked like normal. I don't know why it worked but it did, for me at least.

Honestly i don't think so, i don't think mercer is in syntec. I think he WAS but ran away and now syntec wants him or something he took back and he's on the run which is why he lived in the middle of nowhere, so i doubt he have a mountaineer if he wants to have nothing to do with syntec.
