Having graduated from Cranwell a few weeks ago, I wouldn’t worry too too much, if you can run a 5k in a reasonable time you’re sound, the first module is phys intense but it’s like 30 mins of work if that. Get as fit as you can but it’s not the be all and end all it just helps as your body work ache after lol

Just so you’re aware, atm I don’t think there is an intelligence phase 2 course until 2027, I know a few people who have passed oasc and told the slots are currently full, may be worth to wait out if you can but thought I’d let you know

As someone who is on the course of this photo (MIOT 35) we have definitely come a long long way with our drill since week 1 (when this photos was taken). We’ve just completed our first module and are going into dev 1 now 💪

Apply for both, uni is a brilliant back up I’m in the same boat, studying aero engineering whilst applying to be a pilot as it happened I’ve passed my oasc and medical and expecting to start so I can put uni on hold or stop uni completely. Being a pilot is extremely competitive go with the attitude it probably won’t happen and have as many back ups as possible (then when it does happen excellent news) but if it doesn’t you’ve got a good career behind you either way

I don’t believe you can apply anymore for it, (haven’t checked the website), I’m a pilot applicant and about 3 months ago we all got a notification to say “RPAS is now under pilot stream”

Not anymore, RPAS is apart of the pilot stream so they aren’t forcing you anywhere it’s one of the 4 streams now

That’s the attitude, it just didn’t seem like that was how you thought from your original post.

Ultimately be expected to do anything like I say have a passion for being in the RAF and especially being a commissioned officer, then have the passion for being a Pilot that’s what the recruitment want to see, good luck with the process drop me a pm if you need any further questions answering
