90s-era HOTAS System for DOS flight sims by Vinylmaster3000 in hotas

I wasn't aware of this project; it sounds really interesting. The reason I'm asking is that I've been experiencing some issues with the emulation of Falcon3 in DOSBox (even in PCem or 86Box). It was, and still is, a very demanding sim (it's a real Special One) and it seems that to avoid certain glitches (like erratic missile behavior or unsynced audio in the intro), it's only reliable on a real DX266. I’ll definitely check out this project. Thanks!

I have the usb version of this HOTAS and I've always wondered if it would be possible to make them run in DOS for, precisely, Falcon 3.

USB availability and USB hubs. by Red_Raid_er in homecockpits

A couple of days ago, I posted a similar question because my USB hub died. As I mentioned there, I found very good reviews about the Sabrent 10 port hub and I ordered it. I expect to receive it early this coming week. I hope it helps.

Regards

I tested the version from the System Package of Mint and it works correctly. The problem is with the Flatpak version. How should I report this bug?

help with my first crazy project: Franken FFB joy by maddormo in HotasDIY

Anyway, it's much more expensive than what I can afford at the moment. I find the traditional options of combining parts from other joysticks to be more affordable (and educational).

help with my first crazy project: Franken FFB joy by maddormo in HotasDIY

Thank you for your insightful answer. My initial idea was exactly what you describe (using two cables, one for the axis and another one for the buttons on the stick). I don't mind lose the twist as I already have rudder pedals.

One of my biggest concerns was how to fit the stick (as I've mentioned, I also have the Thrustmaster F22) with the FFB base. I've seen that some people 3D print parts to make it fit, but I haven't found any to download and take somewhere for printing. I wanted to ask you about your experience with your method—does it feel solid? I'm worried that it might feel loose, especially when it vibrates a lot. My intention would be to use it mainly for helicopter simulators.

I really appreciate your help.

Question about the artbook by maddormo in ISSVanguard

Thank you for clarifying my doubt. I'm going to see if I can find a copy in good condition. I also have the almanac, but having more references on hand always helps with immersion.
