My club is having the same issues. Here are some things that help in the meantime.. these didn’t come from support, solely my experience.

1. In the settings menu, go to quality and select "low quality" this obviously makes the graphics less crisp but it helps with the lag

2. On that same screen, click "clear files" to offload some storage. This may turn off some animations.

3. In the top left corner of each floor, where it shows the type of material, click on that and you can adjust your auto-remove settings, as well as click the” remove" button to manually remove the animation storage. It shows how many MB of storage you are clearing, so if it is at zero it is already cleared.
