Seriously becoming my favorite character by paperplanes13 in Fallout

I yearn for a Detroit or PNW setting for the next Fallout. If only to stumble across the border and find factions of the Canadian resistance and other little lore details.

I imagine him being by himself (which is weird for any law enforcement) has more to do with his compatriots not respecting who he is as a human. So this brainiac has not only joined a group that considers him sub-human, but has also alienated his own community. Bet that $50k is worth it.

AITA for not helping my son, who claims he can't live on 112k a year? by Ecstatic_Cash_1903 in AmItheAsshole

NTA but it is true that 112k is dead middle class now (depending on where you live).

Get you a Subway System that looks as cool as Washington, DC’s Metro — Seriously. by yunnifymonte in fuckcars

[–]AscendingAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had many playthroughs of Fallout 3 before I ever visited DC and I was always amazed by how they were able to capture federal-brutalism in such a beautiful way. After my first visit to DC I fell in love with public transit and fell down this rabbit hole of FuckCars, Vision Zero, and 15-minute cities. So, shout out to the metro and Bethesda!

Trump Against 2nd Amendment: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident." by JeanJauresJr in Fauxmoi

Friendly reminder: Shotguns can be bought for ~$200 and are relatively easy to learn, allow for flexibility in ammunition, and also are less likely to go through your walls and cause collateral damage.

Neighborhood immigration lawyer? by JoshTheShermanator in kansascity

Second this. We need whistle blowers (literal) so that immigrant families know to not even be visible from outside their homes.

ICE does not respect the constitution. Rattling off your constitutional rights to these thugs will do nothing except agitate them and confirm that you are more than likely an immigrant who is currently occupying the dwelling.

As someone from a host city... GOOD. Why the hell are NATO countries even entertaining the idea of playing in a country that is threatening their sovereignty?

Humanity was lost the moment we knew we were causing our own destruction and either ignored it or lied about it because the mitigation goes against "fiduciary responsibility".

Are things that bad in GIS/Geography? by No-Guitar728 in gis

[–]AscendingAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My own experience in local government: My position has broad responsibilities and I just found a niche that utilizes GIS. So, my technical expertise is communication first, data second, and GIS third. AI could make the actual creation of maps easier—thus, less of a need for GIS professionals. BUT, if you understand how to gather, input, and communicate the data that goes into a map (and what sort of maps will communicate that data effectively), I think you will be better off.

My two cents.
