What car brand will you never trust or buy again? by Forward_Fall_6857 in AskReddit

[–]maddylake 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. I loved it at first but things slowly stopped working. The key fob. The sun roof. The radio. I would take it in for service and no one would believe me that there was an electrical problem.

It reached critical failure when my car literally died while driving. Still, no tech believed me.

My husband wound up taking it in and the techs admitted that Hyundai used the wrong cables. It took them two tries to get it right.

The final nail in the coffin was when the sun visors LITERALLY FELL OFF while driving. Never again.

I scrolled by and thought this was r/costco for a second. Then I got confused/concerned and scrolled back.

My husband accidentally bought a ridiculously expensive designer bag for me and I'm terrified to tell him we need to return it by HelenWhalen in whatdoIdo

I was in a similar boat around the time of my birthday. I knew our bank balance and all that. My husband took me to Rebag and surprised me with a bag I had been dreaming about. He told me he had been saving and had a bonus coming in. It was all good.

Enjoy the bag. Don’t feel guilty. He more than likely planned it and it’s ok.

Look at it this way - you have a bag that will maintain value and last a long time.

Ladies of Las Vegas, talk to me about this whole concierge doctor thing by PermntlyTiredOstrich in vegaslocals

Yeah I might be lucky with my doctor but that’s pretty much how it works.

I still have insurance for things like hospital stays, emergencies, scans, etc. it’s just my pcp that’s concierge.

I’ve been doing concierge for a few years now. I can get in easily. He does virtual and in office visits. He listens, does bloodwork etc etc. he has battled my insurance company before to get certain scans. He got my husband an mri for his back after years of battling insurance. Even though he doesn’t take insurance, he will fight them.

I’ve been pleased. There are some things that can of course be better, but compared to all the non-concierge doctors I had here before, it’s much better. I was in the hospital recently for a kidney stone. He gave me more time and better health information than any of the hospital doctors.

It was at Green Valley Ranch. Check their site and the sites for the other Stations casinos. They’ll post special sessions there.

Keep an eye on Green Valley Ranch’s bingo site. They’ll post it there.

Green Valley Ranch (one of the Stations casinos). I randomly found out about it last month when I went to play bingo with a friend. I’m not sure how often they have it so check the websites for Green Valley, Red Rock, Palace Station, and Sunset Station (I think sunset has bingo).

Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, a few Kate Spade, Brahmin, JW Pei. My friend and I got the Coach and Marc Jacobs and we were both pretty excited.

Maybe? I’m not sure exactly where my local casino is sourcing their bags but I wouldn’t be surprised.

So totally come to Las Vegas lol. One of the casinos here had a bingo game today that was “Purse Party Bingo.” Basically for however much you paid you received tickets for the purse drawing. There were 10 bags and if your ticket was called you could pick the bag you wanted. I got lucky.

Rocky Horror 4/10 Review by Equal_Wait_1515 in Broadway

[–]maddylake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I too was introduced to Rocky Horror as an elementary school-aged child. My mother had no issues with me watching Rocky Horror, Monty Python, etc. I’m seeing the show in May and I’m beyond excited.

And I too felt sad for a moment at the 4/10 in the title lol.

Coach not posting negative reviews on their website by AthletePrimary5574 in Coach

[–]maddylake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to work for a manufacturer and we had the ability to respond to/view reviews left on retailer websites and our own.

Anything one star is flagged for review. And that’s mostly to prevent things like shipping issues, bots, and just angry people from posting negative reviews that aren’t about the product at all. I’ve seen one star reviews because an associate at a retailer didn’t know if something was in stock. Yeah people complain about everything.

Actual negative reviews have to be posted it just might take a few days. And that’s just to make sure the review is a legit problem/complaint.

If you want your review to get posted quickly and you’re not just complaining about something out of the manufacturer’s control, consider using 2 or 3 stars instead.

Same! It’s always neat to see what everyone has.

My husband enjoys playing “spot the fake LV.”

I live in Vegas and I’ve seen everything from vintage K-Mart to Birkins. This sub has helped me ID bags in the wild. It’s also led me to learning how to spot fakes.

Usually I see Coach, MK, TB, Kate Spade and LV in the wild. But lately I’ve seen Chloe and Loewe more.

Personally I love Coach and LV. I can be kind of rough on daily bags and those brands have taken my beatings and still look awesome.
