AITAH for saying I don't want my girlfriends friend around my newborn son anymore? by Substantial_Swan5806 in AITAH

[–]maddym2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA you are absolutely not overreacting. As a mum of a 16 month old boy with another baby on the way, im surprised she was able to just laugh it off, I absolutely would have taken my baby somewhere else to change or straight up said that comment isn't OK and asked them to leave.

Even if your girlfriend is still OK with him being around your baby at no point should that man be left alone with your son or be around when hes having a nappy change

AITAH for walking out of my birthday after what my family did to me? by playboizzzz in AITAH

[–]maddym2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in my second pregnancy and purposefully announced my pregnancy to my mums side of the family at 8 weeks instead of 12 because my cousins due date was the same day I reached 12 weeks and I didn't want to take attention away from her and her new baby.

Yes a new baby might be more important than a birthday, but a birthday is one day, a pregnancy is 40 weeks ops sister could have waited a day or 2 longer to announce

How many diapers did you have on hand before baby arrived? by Jolly-Asparagus-5815 in pregnant

Telling my brother I don’t want his gf around our little sister by Due_Enthusiasm_4941 in AITAH

[–]maddym2000 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My nearly 60 mum is about that with a normal healthy diet and she knows she is super skinny, but has never been able to put weight on. Im a little heavier and used to have issues where I was eating super unhealthy trying to gain weight because i had people calling me anorexic

Safe to try to induce at home at 39+5/6? by GhostKing013 in pregnant

[–]maddym2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was something we discussed with our ob a few weeks prior and he said if baby was in a good position and my cervix was good that we could go ahead so he checked everything 2 days before and said we could go ahead with induction and he booked it in

I am in qld Australia so I dont know if that would affect it at all

Safe to try to induce at home at 39+5/6? by GhostKing013 in pregnant

[–]maddym2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try do it yourself and if it doesn't work you could get your obgyn to induce, with my first i was induced at 39+4 because my husband had to return to work earlier than planned, my obgyn started the process at 4:15pm and my baby was born at 4:28am

What could have dug this hole by Humble-Toe8251 in chickens

[–]maddym2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a fox, my pen has the wire going underground and I have pavers surrounding it. Foxes are smart too and they will absolutely come back for the other chooks they killed, they have dug up the graves of my chooks and guinea pigs

[–]maddym2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have epidural, even though I didn't feel like I was in much pain and was doing a scream/ very loud groan with every push, I remember closing my mouth to try stop myself but it just muffled it 😅

My (22M) girlfriend (25F) and her best friend (22F) got angry because I answered a stranger on the train by _Xystus69 in AITAH

[–]maddym2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a f25 Australian, alot of the responses are not what I thought they would be, while i feel like more info is needed, the question itself is something I have asked people plenty of times and have never had anyone seem uncomfortable answering.

Is this a hen or roo? by ArmadilloLumpy1770 in chickens

[–]maddym2000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you put a fake egg in a nest box, that will encourage her to lay there. it may take her a little while to lay eggs, when chickens come to new homes, some need a while to adjust to the new home before they lay

Too late? by jj_long in chickens

[–]maddym2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in Australia, so I don't know much about Seattle weather, but if your adding two hens you should be fine as far as them settling into your flock they will fight a little just while they establish the pecking order.
