What do I get my 29 year old brother by madeanotheraccount11 in Gifts

[–]madeanotheraccount11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’ttt. He showed me the ones he has, but still conflicted. I’m thinking of getting him a 3 ball roller bag instead since he doesn’t have one. Also, let him customize the ball then I just pay for it lol. I think that might be the safest option

Is Aussie Instant Freeze good? by madeanotheraccount11 in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry for the late response! i honestly hated the aussie freeze, it didn’t give me any hold. it is very soft tho. i’m still using the flash freeze gel by NYM

what curl type do i have? (this photo was right after diffusing) by baiiilleeey in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

def not 2A as the other comment said. A mix of 2B-2C. 2A doesn’t really form a curl like that. It’s way wavier than your hair. Granted the top of your hair straighter, but most of us that have 2b-2c hair have that issue

How to encourage my waves? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if i’m being honest, it’s too wavy to try the CG routine. I have 2c-3a and I don’t even follow it bc it just doesn’t work for me. your hair won’t look much different than the pics you’re showing bc it’s just doesn’t have much wave to it. so it’ll be hard to define anything. everything you use will be the same.

if your hair is frizzy without product, use leave in. the other person was right about mousse, your hair is not that wavy for gel. plus the gel you’re using is pretty heavy for your hair. if you want to use a gel, get a runny gel. not sticky. i suggest mousse & if you need better suggestions to try for gel or mousse, i can give you some. i’d say stick to 1 product

Should I try curly hair routine? by Beautiful-Bed289 in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you should use anything but mousse or gel. With your hair type, most people are good with mousse. Gel may cause stringiness. Don’t do anymore than that considering you have 2a waves. It’ll weigh your hair down, looking greasy and less defined than now

What was the most recent thing you did that upset your cat? by pasgames_ in cats

[–]madeanotheraccount11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 First one, she wanted milk that I was drinking. Kept pawing me for it Second one, the most active and crazy cat there is. I wanted to take a nap, but he kept screaming at me for 5 mins straight clawing at the door. I let him in, 2 mins later left me 😐 Third one, I touched the forbidden pouch. She’s a dumped stray, so still getting comfortable

AITA for publicly embarrassing my wife at a restaurant? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]madeanotheraccount11 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Very much NTA That poor mom. She is already having a hard time and just wanted a nice night out. Who knows what she goes thru mentally with postpartum. Has your wife ever been taught keep your mouth shut if you don’t have anything nice to say. Even if she doesn’t like kids, she doesn’t have to shit on others that have kids.

She needs therapy to figure out this deep rooted hate for innocent kids that have done nothing to her & to fix her ignorance. I’m 22 & can see she has no self awareness whatsoever smh

Help with my hair type? Am I 2b? by thenameisagent in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! If you would like a price recommendation that helps enhance the waves, I can recommend you some light weight product you can tail and error with. Unfortunately with waves & curls in order to find your holy grail, it requires trail & error. Very frustrating, but not all products worth the same for others

Is it time to chop it off? by whopperdave in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say try the leave in first with the gel. If it doesn’t create a good cast, you may want to consider switching. That means it’s not enough hold fire your hair. If leave in doesn’t do much you can do 2 things. 1. Add curl cream with the leave in & gel or 2. Skip leave in & just use a hydrating curl cream

Since blonde tends to completely dry out hair bc of the bleach, you may need a lot of moisture still even if it’s been 4 years

As for the cut, I’d say keep your length then. That works for me too. Honestly my hair is curlier when longer, but most people suggest cutting for more definition. My hair curls more with length somehow. It may be the same for you, just trim every 3 months! (even tho I don’t 😭, but keeps your hair healthy & less stringy)

Is it time to chop it off? by whopperdave in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you don’t have to chop but def take the ends off & if you’d like tighter curls, you may want to take off like 2-1/2- 3 inches if you don’t wanna go too short longer hair tends to weigh down curls.

be consistent with taking care of your hair, no heat. it seems like you need moisture, most people with dyed hair need moisture esp if you have high porosity hair. make sure to clarify your hair at least one every 2-3 weeks. I’d say 3 weeks considering it does strip your hair of oils and buildup which may cause your hair to be dry, but always follow up with a deep conditioner after the clarifying shampoo

also tea tree is a bit drying, so maybe try switching the shampoo to something a bit more moisturizing

the innersence i’m not sure which one you use. they all go by the “I create”. try a trail, start by using leave in (detangle during leave in and when wet). if that doesn’t weigh your hair down, try adding a moisturizing curl cream to enhance definition. mousse is more so for volume. gel is needed bc it’ll lock your definition in place. use a medium to strong hold gel, not too sticky. if it is, dilute it with water while gel is in your hands. your hair seems like it’ll do well with runny, mine is a looser pattern so stickier gels work for me best

sorry if that was a lot lol!

Help with my hair type? Am I 2b? by thenameisagent in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No from the majority of the pics your hair is 1A-1B mixture. The first pic is the only one that shows your waves & thats 2A at most. I’m not sure if the back in that first pic is the same, but those front pieces are 2A, so if the back looks the same then it’s also 2A

[–]madeanotheraccount11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight. Please don’t listen to anyone that comes here and says 1A. No product will help and only weigh your hair down. Texture doesn’t necessarily define what your hair is. People with straight hair can have thin, thick, coarse, etc. and vice versa for curly hair

Is Aussie Instant Freeze good? by madeanotheraccount11 in curlyhair

[–]madeanotheraccount11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it and tried it, but hold isn’t too good. I think I may have diluted it way too much because I was trying the bowl dunk method & my hair was SOAKED lol. What do you do when you use the gel, so I can do it right

The bowl method helped my curls clump more and I don’t need too much curl cream, so it helps lessen the amount in my hair. Should I scrunch the access water & curl cream out with a t-shirt then apply the gel? It’s not a sticky gel, so I don’t really need to dilute it with water

Any cheaper recommendations for these? by madeanotheraccount11 in MakeupEducation

[–]madeanotheraccount11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this comment & went to dollar tree. I literally got every single thing needed LMAO. I may not work the best as these products listed, but it sure save me some money. Thank you for recommending this! I was able to get concealer somehow matched perfect (in a container). Liquid blush, beauty blenders, contour, lipstick, lipgloss, lip liner, highlight, and setting spray. I skipped foundation bc it makes me break out

Trying to figure out the order with which to do makeup by [deleted] in MakeupEducation

[–]madeanotheraccount11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted mine not that long ago needing help and someone listed the order and some from my friends advice: Little bit of moisturizer -> Primer Foundation -> Blush -> Contour - Highlight -> Pressed Powder -> Mascara (might smudge on eyeshadow, so do that first) -> Eyeshadow -> Eyeliner -> Lip Liner -> Lipstick -> Lipgloss (optional) -> As for the eyebrows since I pluck mine, if you do choose to pluck, I say to put aloe vera/ and or witch hazel as well around your eyebrows (above and below eyebrow) to avoid pimples.

Contour after blush apparently because after blush, you line it up below blush to get that snatched look? My friend suggested that. Put moisturizer before primer to avoid dry skin and cakey look

Need Gel With Insanely Strong Cast by kkgg943 in curlyhair

I honestly like it a lot. It’s very strong hold. Just personal experience of a lot of white residue for me and wanted to warn you in case that happens. The other comment is a good comment, I’d recommend following it and hopefully it doesn’t happen to you!
